because it's part of the "character" she has crafted for "Kiara". She thinks it fits the image she wants to portray (genki, brash, whatever idk), or at least she thought so in the beginning when she decided on it, and now there's also the element of stubborn pride as changing it now after all this time would feel like admitting the complainers had a point, so she rather sticks with it.
As for how she ever came up with the idea that this type of voice was a good idea and would fit her in the first place, remember her oshi is Pego, who also has a kinda unique "aquired taste" voice, so she probably thought that's what she wanted to emulate and that it would work just as well in english, or that she's a good enough voice actor to make it work (compounded by the fact that her subpar audio setup also hinders her in really seeing the drawbacks)

I really loved how quickly Kiara got flustered when trying to remember the position and name of more than 4 ingredients for the KFP Burger. Personally choosing karaoke or hell even normal streams is hard to really prove anything. Example is her My Heart Will Go On, or Hallelujah are songs she sang that's more recent than both of the clips you provided and are considered really well sang by her. Honestly Kiara's voice all depends on how she wishes in force a higher pitch in her voice. Sometimes it can be non existent which I personally like more, sometimes she tries to inflect really hard and it comes off as screechy. Sure audio setting and stuff can improve how she sounds, but I think an obvious major reason for the difference in voice is how much she forces the voice or not.
