Ok so basically, at least from how I experienced it, the original NijiEN catalog antis were SEAniggers assblasted that NijiID got canned, later joined by /#/niggers trying to turn around their made up schizo horse race after Vox and Salome went viral in quick succession. So that pretty handily explains the psychotic hatred side of the equation.

As for why there’s no pushback, well, there was. But fan appreciation is a two way street, and a ton of NijiEN girls went, deliberately or by accident, out of their way to slowly (or not so slowly) purge and drive away their original fan bases and hitch their wagons to the Luxiem/male vtuber gravy train. The problem is that the male vtuber fan base is big, but consists overwhelmingly of women who either don’t give a shit about the girls or in some cases actively despise them. This trend also caused a lot of the girls’ fans to have progressively less tolerance for mistakes since they’ve usually looked over a bunch of stuff already, and so they’re less willing to lift a finger to help.

An easy example is to look at Selen or Pomu, their anti threads will have a bunch of pomies or dragoons defending them even if they’re outnumbered by an army of screeching SEAniggers. Meanwhile someone like Enna gets crickets. As for Elira, well you have fans who were around in spring 2021 who’ve overlooked even egregious shit like male off-collabs, so if ‘I’m not your friend’ followed by yet another vacation doesn’t get defenders on the catalog, that’s less a sign of biased anger and more a wholly deserved collective shrug from the people who would have been invested enough to push back.
