Don't take the bait doesn't necessarily mean be silent, it just means don't give them the response they want, and 9 times out of 10, that means saying nothing at all. If they're repeating lies about your oshi to spread a narrative, and you choose to respond, you have to remember not to be an easy mark. Correct the lie and don't respond to provocations, remember you're not trying to convince the anti, just bystanders that might get the wrong idea if they see the narrative unopposed.
