I fell into the hole months after the switch, quickly Oshi'd Nenechi, yet somehow just can't imagine OG wife being MY brazen erogaki boke wife. She feels like a totally different person in 90% of the clips I've seen. Not nearly as fun. To paraphrase Polka: "Ah yes, back when Nene was seiso".

I'll bite. I watch all of Flare's long talk+SC vods and don't need translations.
For a couple of months now she has pushed the idea that she CAN use magic. The reason she isn't blasting spells all over the place is because she needs her spellbook, which is back in her hometown. She thinks her fire themed name fits someone focused on studying fire spells.
As for non-magic weapons: She welcomes literally everything except bows. She has no issue with bows themselves, it's the people who endlessly nags her to switch to bows while playing games that turns her off from using them. It started out with her not using them because they're often very difficult weapons to use. But over 3 years of drive-by "Hey ELF, use the bow instead!!" comments, backseating how she should be enjoying the game, has made bows an unappealing choice.

I wouldn't say Flare is "snitty", the problem is that EOP information about her is so scarce(or ancient), people fill in the blanks themselves and feel betrayed when it turns out they guessed wrong. Flare talks to her fans a lot, not even a percent of it is properly translated. Sometimes a sentence uttered on stream gets translated and dropped on this board, but eventually it degrades like a JPEG getting compressed over and over and you get stuff like "hates her ears" which is based on the fact that she can put on headphones in one of her outfits. Her actual opinion on the ears is just: It's neat how my ears can interact with my long hair in a variety of ways, it looks nice in fanart.

Flare is chill and doesn't really spend energy hating much of anything. If she has a dislike, she talks to her fans about it so both parties can have a better time hanging out.
