I don't understand what those male vtubers are doing, honestly. Why would they even grow? What's their appeal?

It was said that male vtubers have more kayfable but it feels like the opposite, I think most male vtubers are just being themselves and if anything appealing comes out of that its coincidence. There might be a male vtuber who's cute onstream but that's just who he is, and most likely he's not putting on some skill or talent to enhance that property even if it would benefit him to do so. Even worse if its a male who doesn't actually have any natural appeal, which is the standard because not everyone is born with a personality perfect for being a entertainer.

This rant all comes from when I was watching corpo vtubers. I noticed some retard viewers wanted "brotubers", so I went to check their brotubers out to see their appeal. I thought maybe they would have increased chat interaction or something, but no. All that defines brotubers is that some viewers didn't like yume/fujo pandering and wanted to list down vtubers who don't do that.
Coming to the indie scene it feels like its the same. I guess a more accurate term would be nothingburgers, because that's what they are. Empty buns with nothing inside.
