People who watch Hololive were groomed to stick to the stream for as long as they possibly can because there is a non-zero chance that other girls will come in and interact with each other (especially in multiplayer games where they share a world). Finally, the talents themselves have the skills to maintain the retention (or even continue growing) throughout the stream because they're, at the very minimum, competent entertainers.
