If it's anything like the previous episode of the dating show, Neuro will only have to understand what Filian and Lily are saying.
(Maybe Vedal's downloaded some of their VODs to train the speech recognition system on. If it produces incorrect transcriptions, then he can presumably manually correct them and re-run the training).
There are occasions where contestants can talk to or about each other, but Vedal can warn them that they'll just get a "filtered" if their accent or mic quality isn't good enough.
He'll probably need to cheat a bit, and be selectively muting/deafening the input to Neuro based on whether someone starts a sentence with "Hey Neuro" as a wake/trigger phrase.

Vedal is a little head of the curve at least when it comes to AI vtubers
other AI projects such as "Nothing, Forever" and "The Athene AI Show" may use similar technology but are not vtubers and are not playing games or singing songs and other similar activities that Neuro is doing
So yeah Vedal is definitely ahead of the curve and the amount of work he has done so far if he keeps up the progress he'll be able to stay ahead at least until professional organizations start making investments into these kind of projects
there have been a few similar idea ai vtubers attempting something but they are low tech for now and are severely limitted in comparison to Neuro sama so they need to time catch up

It's not clear what the benefit would be from more powerful hardware.
Perhaps he could reduce the time it takes for Neuro's language model to come up with responses, but most of the time delay is probably the TTS, which is a network service that probably can't be streamed a word at a time.
In terms of personality, the only thing that would improve Neuro is if she could keep a consistent set of opinions, and long term memory, but that's a really hard problem that even state of the art commercial AIs haven't solved.
For the Minecraft AI, the limiting factor is the amount of time/data that went into training it, I think, and the model he's using was probably downloaded from a project that trained it using an expensive cluster, so his personal hardware can't add much to that.
The other limiting factor is that he has to manually supervise the output, so there's no point creating daughters unless they stream at separate times, which means he has to be happy to spend more time on babysitting (and thus less time on integrating new game AIs, commissioning new songs, arranging collabs, and so on).

Well, ironically, Neuro is currently the easiest "celebrity" in the world to deepfake.
So if a clip of her saying something racist were to surface, then Vedal would have plausible deniability.
We've already seen other vtubers use her Live2D model, and people on these threads have used her TTS to say some really offensive things, so it wouldn't take a genius to combine the two.
The hardest parts to copy would be her stream background image and BGM, but Vedal could use some public domain assets just for her Patreon-only streams, and include links to them in his Discord.
I completely agree with you about the other Patreon incentives he could offer, though.

Personality system is a must have if future AI chubba want to surpass current Neuro. Collabing with multiple human partner with various personality is the way Vedal do to make this possible. If neuro want to be friendly she'd pick something Miyune would likely say, if neuro want to be lewd she'd pick something Cottontail would said. That should give you a concept of how it work. That'll take a long time but if people keep supporting neuro long enough, the data vedal gathered will make neuro even more humanlike.
More powerful hardwares will enable Vedal to do more ambitious project, like making Neuro 3d, dancing animation and more expressive emote for examples

Writing an AI that can filter text according to Twitch's TOS is harder than solving AGI, because even humans can't predict what speech will get you banned from there.

Those are for the AI to form coherent speeches. Personality data is more like character description which provide context for Neuro to act upon it. Chatbot AI is capable of role playing already, and personality system is like an expansion on it.

In the mean time, he needs to avoid becoming a political target, which might be out of his control.

I suppose it's possible that an AI could be fed a transcript of her collabs, and told to write short descriptions of her collab partners' personalities, but if that technique would work then he could probably just feed transcripts of other vtubers' solo VODs into the same AI and get equally good character descriptions.
Anyway, I'm not sure how good his language model is at being tuned to implement a specific personality, and maybe just giving it a few keyword attributes like "shy" or "arrogant" would give it a clearer signal.

A lot could still go wrong, because there's no easy way for Neuro to know when she is being spoken to, but some of her best moments were on her first collab with Miyune and that had its share of technical difficulties too.
You're right that the collabs so far have helped Vedal improve the technology, and I'm hoping this will be his chance to introduce an even bigger audience to the irresistible power of AI.
