A while back an anon asked me to post the Marine scale when I got it, and it was finally delivered today!

The box is huge. I've got a bunch of other 1/7th scales but this has to be the largest, I thought the price was just the Hololive tax but it's just big really. That's a full sized couch in the background for comparison.

And here's how it looks taken out and put together. It's really well done in ways that my cell phone camera can't really do justice. The shading is great though. There's also an option to display it skirtless, but I can't decide if I want that or not. But it's pretty easy to switch, the upper torso comes off and the skirt just sits on her hips, it's not attached. Similarly, he pirate hat isn't attached, it's held in place by the sculpt. It might be a little hard to see, but her hand holds it in place from the back.

Was getting to that. My favorite aspect of the figure is that, looking at it from a ways away, it's really sexy. It has exactly that kind of teasing sex appeal that Marine goes for in her streams. You can see from the holes on her sides that she's wearing a leotard, but from a glance it looks like she's not wearing panties. As a non-artist she seems insanely good to me. I wish she would embrace more rakugaki style low effort scribbling. The stuff she can churn out in literal seconds doesn't look massively different in quality to me to the stuff that takes her 5 hours.

But in terms of content, pumping out wild high-concept scribbles would be a lot of fun, I would have thought. Like that yonkoma stream she did a while back, but even more low-effort.

It seems like Marine is too much of a perfectionist though, she clearly sees gradations of quality and perceives them as important in ways I certainly don't. Not sure how you could convince her to let go and use her talent of being able to make such high quality stuff so quickly more.
