Monday, February 13

The other day, I picked up a charming milkshake in a retro package from a vending machine.
I have been wanting to try it ever since I saw it once, but when I went to buy it, I couldn't find it.
I was out for a completely different purpose when I was able to find it again, and it is a gem like a phantom.
When I was a child, my parents used to buy it for me on the way home from the hospital or when I went out.
I remember the milkshakes I used to drink.
The first three sips would be served cold.
The rest I would put in a cup and heat up in the microwave
and drank it.
I am glad to have the same warmth and the same taste as before.
I will do my best for another week.

That being said, it has to be one of the worst generals. They are only brought together because of the indie + jp combination.
Most anons don't necessarily watch the same channels at all. Just drop a no context link and peace out.

I post my favourite 2view here from time to time and I'm sure she's not up there.

Understandable. I mostly agree which is why I never posted her here. She was definitely just a content creator who happened to sing occasionally and made a few covers. She used to play in some indie rock bands though. She can play guitar, and drums. Really a jack of all trades, but not particularly a master of any. I'd call her a creative more than a musician.

It took a few years until the current trend of vsingers really started.
What I liked about her at the time was seeing her try her best to do this new thing, improve with a positive mindset and wanting to make people happy.
As time went on I liked her more and more and now she even does lullaby streams.

I think she has a lot of freedom to do what she wants almost like an indie and values that more than being a wage slave for a soulless big corpo.
She cares about her vtuber group too and conquered her greed.

I would be curious to learn more about how she became like this.
I think she wanted to have a career as a singer and is happy to be able to do what she likes.

But it makes me curious about her source of inner strength.

There are 2 categories of people with this desire.

I think she belongs to the 1st category, but there must be more to it.

I mean, they’re all short but MaiR is only an inch or two less then the stately goddess amongst chuubas that is AZKi. Kaf is similar and also still a college freshman so she’s still growing. Hachi and Jou are another level below that, though I will admit I don’t have a good perspective on Yuka or Kotone though if I really cared, I could probably reference Kotone to Sora and Sora to my red bean measuring stick. Yuka would be harder since the only thing I can think of would be those old B2 concerts with the VWP and then I’d have to be trusting the chinks to care enough to get height scale accurate and that the VWP girls haven’t changed since then.

Two, vocaloid producers are much more tolerant of covers then most other music sources so less copyright issues. Three, vocaloid songs are still massively popular and picking a FotM one is an easy way to try and ride the algorithm, like King or Phony, or even just taking one and making it your own like Towa's Error. 37 million on the original is hardly bad even if you don't look at things like Suisei's Phony which has another 29m or Kaf x Kafu which has another 6m. Lastly, vocaloid songs tend to be a lot of fun to sing and since there's no original artist to compare yourself against, it's easier to make a cover without endless self-doubting.

Of course, this does lead to funny situations where all the Westerners make covers of Japanese music while you can find Japanese girls who do covers of Western music, but that's part of the charm of vtubing is seeing those two cultures intermingle.
