Canada is a foot in the door to American immigration. Asians often move to Canada and then immigrate to America when the legal paperwork lines up.
Here's my theory: because of this Canada hosts a larger population of second generation Asian millenials and zoomers. They were still raised right by Asian parents. Whereas in America, Asian families have a higher likelihood to be 3rd generation or beyond, making them Americanized and lazy and gay

No but once they move to another country Asians all tend to gather around whatever the dominant Asian culture is. There is little to no Hmong culture in the US beyond a couple cities , so someone like Finana is gonna gravitate to Japanese/Chinese stuff. Same with Viets like Bao. Works the same with all groups. If you're Salvadoran, or Paraguayan or even Brazilian and live in the US you're gonna be around mostly Mexicans and start liking the stuff they like.

are there any very distinct cultures in Latin America except for Argentina, Brazil and Cuba? I can't think of anything "inherently Colombian" or "inherently Honduran". Food is almost always a sum of geographics, so it doesn't count.
