If you're having a conflict that can't be resolved with Kyuppin's system you may have to explore alternatives. There would have to be some sort of conflict between your card and whatever method your software is using to access your camera for this to be an issue, unless there's some sort of general hardware deficiency that prevents both from playing nicely together, but I assume if you're streaming you've already built a functional computer.

Ive been having problems with being able to afford new games to stream lately, so I started streaming random free-to-play games. A lot of them are kind of bad and have kind of a kusoge feel to them. But in a way its fun to shit on them with my audience. They actually get fairly decent numbers somehow. Would definitely recommend.

I would say that while my current audience likes it, I have gotten no growth off of it. Not even a single follow since I started. So it might not be good for a brand new streamer. You do get some funny clips out of it sometimes though, so might be a good way to farm content for clips if you are looking to do that.

DaVinci Resolve is free and will work if you want to cast a wide net over the web and/or imitate the colorful clips and dynamic subs that get peddled to tiktok zoomies. It's absolutely good enough for what you're describing. If you specifically want to get good at editing for creative reasons (e.g. making skits), the easiest consumer-grade paid NLE to learn is Premiere Pro.

If you're already inclined to making clips, consider that all of your content sources can feed eachother. Clips can drive people to your streams, streams can lead people to your youtube VODs and content including clips, etc. Its more work, obviously, to keep everything going at once, but if you want that growth its certainly a way to get there.

I tried the first and it was very difficult. Once you start venturing out after growing a small fanbase playing a popular game, most of your viewers will not follow you to new games and some will even unfollow you once you start playing that popular game as much. It was almost like I started over from scratch. I had a hard time dealing with this level of abandonment from my viewers psychologically.

I eventually started spending half my time streaming the popular game and the other half streaming a variety but all this did was split my community in half and driving both sides away from me. I have come to believe that the key to starting off from nothing as a streamer is creating a strong community, and the key to doing this well is providing a very stable place for people to come and make friends and spend their time with you. This can be done as a dedicated league streamer, as a dedicated variety streamer, zatsu streamer, or whatever you want to do with varying success, but the key is to provide a very stable environment for your community to grow. And trying to build two separate communities just doesn't work and will destroy both.

Looking back on it now, even though I gained followers much more quickly by streaming a popular game, I sabotaged my efforts greatly by expanding to different games and I wish I had just done that from the very start. The 150+ followers I gained at the start are not even worth as much as the last 30 that I have gotten doing what I wanted to from the beginning.

if you rely on the twitch site only to be discovered you need to find a category where you are "unique" in. you have X ccv which puts you in a certain spot and if that number is low even games with like 20 streamers put you in row 6-7 which means you'll not be seen. You do have the vtuber buff though so if your model is eye-catching some people might be more inclined to click you. It's all chance though and "organic growth" through twitch is one of the hardest ways to get viewers on your stream.

Thanks. I did a Loudness Test on the stream and it was significantly below the expected volume level, so I have increased the gain to a more appropriate one, the stream I did before that one I fixed it because someone told me I was quiet but inbetween that stream and this one a brainworm won and told me my voice was too loud. I can't really hear very well sometimes. Game was also really loud because inbetween that stream I linked and the last one I did, I forgot to measure and adjust it. Also nearly removed the mouth noises now which I know is a you have to be looking for it to hear it thing but they sound so nasty.

there's way too many vtubers period. if people thought it was hopeless before i urge them to check out how many really exist out there and are directly competing with you for viewers. I'd even wager the vtuber to vtuber viewer ratio is a lot lower than the normal demographic counterpart (meaning there's less viewer per chuuba). It might be different if you add JP corpos but i doubt people who watch those will ever watch a smaller western chuuba
