There's only ever been one girl for me. I watched other girls before her, but they were just vtubers I enjoyed. I never liked anyone enough to call them my oshi until I started watching Suichan, and everything just clicked.

Pre-Knowledge of Hololive: Miko (watched her streams occasionally had no idea what Hololive was until 2020, regained newfound interest in her after she returned, Top 10 Holo)
June 2020-August 2020: Matsuri (decided to watch all of her streams for a while, Lyger's possessiveness repelled me after a while, still my favorite Ikkisei, but not Top 10)
August 2020-Present: Aqua (came right around the AquaMarine Minecraft arc and fell in love with both of the two but after archive repping stuck with Aqua although Marine is always a close 2nd and it's been this way a long time and I don't plan on changing, not gonna listen to 4chan opinions since I know most people don't like either at all)

I never claimed to have an oshi because I never watched any vtuber with enough frequency to even qualify as a candidate. Sure I had favourites, but not anyone I could call oshi.

My 1st oshi was Ame, but she got so toxic with chat and unnecessarily combative that I left. Chat can be dumb, but I don't come to streams to see a streamer argue with chat, whether she's in the right or not (and she's wrong half the time). She has toned it down, and is still very creative in her streams (.e.g. her outfit reveal), but I no longer feel the same way.

My 2nd oshi was Uto. She is actually good at gaming, and doesn't fight with people. Despite the drama arc and the irregular schedule, Uto is a natural streamer that consistently draws in at least 4k live viewers despite the language barrier. That's quite amazing. However, and here I must come to terms with an unfortunate fact: the bigger a vtuber gets, the more distant they become, that at some point they become an event rather than a streamer you can interact with.

Right now I don't claim to have an oshi. I just prefer to hang out at smaller vtubers who possess some talents. Like Hana Flores or Nina Saotome who both have incredible singing voices (better than almost all holos besides Gura and Suisei etc.). I feel like my support is worthwhile and creating a visible effect, and we can actually make interesting conversations that would not at all be possible with others.

But a warning, I used to like indies too but then I got ghosted hard, since then I prefer corporate vtubers, in my 3 years of watching Nijisanji and Hololive I only got 3 chuubas graduated and 2 of them came back I'm not going back to indiehell again

Chammers is my "oshi" insofar that she's always been the most entertaining chuuba to me and has thus earned the only sub I'm willing to give. I gave one month concurrently to Mori, but came to the realization that while I love her personality and the way she interacts in collabs, she isn't as entertaining to watch on a consistent solo-basis (that and her price tiers are ridiculous).

Nah anon, the interactions are the peak content, because they are always unique. Watching apex, minecraft, and FotM games gets boring after the 100th time. If you ask Kiara fans, the peak content is when she goes on tangents during superchat. Or with Uto, the peak content is when she suddenly decides to play phasmo and asks fans to jump into the game with her, to hilarious effects.

I've had other vtubers that I liked before, but Korone was the first one that I'd call my oshi.
For most vtubers, I just watch them if I happen to notice they're live when I have nothing else to do. But if I know Korone plans to stream, I'll adjust my plans for the day to watch. The only other potential candidate is an indie vtuber whose entire setup is the epitome of SOUL.

Coco to Pekora. I still love Coco, she was an amazing force that pushed hololive to heights. Her character before the chink attack was amazing. I first learnt about Vtubers from Kizuna Ai. Liked watching her videos on youtube, back then there was no such thing as live streaming. It was all videos like normal youtubers. After she was forced to graduate and her voice actress replaced i lost interest. Then i started seeing Aqua Shion Neighbour wars on youtube, Aqua was my Oshi for a while until i found Ars Almal from Nijisanji`s video where she was crying from stress streaming with unknown vtubers from her company. Now i watch more Pekora and Miko streams. Recently i found Subaru to be really interesting. I watch Shizuka Rin`s FF14 streams sometimes to relax and think about going back to FF14 Lousiox server alot. Gura streams are always fun to catch too. I stopped watching Okayu`s streams after i found out she was debu though.
