I want my YT content to be digestable outside of 3+ hour stream dumps so some western RPGs work well for that. Dungeon areas in skyrim and fallout games are pretty easy to partition out from the rest of the stream and don't require a lot of setup.

I promised my viewers i was going to debut around july, so i dusted off my old, abandoned live2d model i abandoned last year. I am really self.concious about my drawing skills, but specially my shading and color skills so i would like some critique on it. I would say its 80% finished, only needing the accesories and the face to be finished off, but i would be willing to remake it if something isnt good enough. I am not sure i like the shading or colors but dunno if its just me schizoing about my skills. I also bought a new ISP monitor and i feel the colors are a bit desaturated, or is it just me?

Being successful on twitch, twitter or youtube is all about manipulating the algorithm. That's it, how successful you are as a streamer has half to do with how well you manipulate the algorithm. You'll stand out more if you play different things from the mainstream crowd. You can always backtrack to those things if you think your audience is into it. There are chuubas who do nothing but play Eternal Return and Guilty Gear. What's most important to your audience is that they can see you having fun playing whatever you're playing or doing whatever you're doing. Always think about branding when you're setting up a packet and CV for auditions. Interviewers are going to want to know about you as a performer and what skills and talents you would bring to the company as a talent. Your coomer VN is probably a potential yab as well as wholly unrelated to your streaming ability and performance. Corpos want to know what you stream and perform to audiences, how often, and how successful you are at it.

That's why skillsets like singing and interviewing are so heavily reflected in almost every corpo brand (besides the obvious that Cover and Anycolor specifically are traditional idol brands).

It can be funny imagining somebody reading your file and being confused by how wacky and weird your hobbies are, but unless that personality is marketable and reflects in a non-yab way on stream its probably useless to them.

How do I get my own viewers? Currently, I have a few viewers but my growth has been stagnating since getting affiliate. Also, I have a few subs but not as many as others who have the same following / viewers... I feel like when I get my audience from others, they know me as "___'s friend" and they are most loyal and already a long time subscriber of others.

Tl;dr: I gain followers by networking but they don't become my fans as they are already loyal subs to other people.

When I started watching Moonmoon I knew him as "that guy that Surefour played with." Now I watch Moon more than S4 because their overall content is very different now and has a very different feel to it. You cultivate your own audience by doing what you can to make both your content and the general atmosphere of your stream and presentation stand out from the others, including those sending you viewers. You don't necessarily have to poach subs from your friends, but some viewers will naturally gravitate if they decide they like your brand more. Alternatively, use the borrowed viewers to "fake it" and draw in new viewers that see you as a mid-range easy-to-pick-up stream. Some viewers are intimidated by the very popular streams because they're big, but they're turned off by 0view streams because they presume that a stream with no views must be a boring nobody. If you're pulling affiliate then you must have at least enough borrowed viewers to keep you out of either case, so just ride them until others see you while cultivating viewership and discovery through other platforms. If you're not already, consider collaborating with the friend that is already lending you viewers. That's your chance to borrow their platform a little and stand out in front of their viewers. Viewer loyalty isn't zero sum and isn't absolute. They can and may well like both of you and sub to both.

I've got a pretty demanding day job so I can't see dedicating more than 3-5 hours on a stream night. I've got other obligations outside of my day job as well so that keeps me off the 6 on 1 off that a lot of the very aggressive corpos do.

Also I'd like to have some of that free time on stream days to play non-stream games or do editing for off-stream content uploads. I could theoretically do some of that editing on non-stream days but that feels like cramming and a bad menhera move.
