I won't say that I'm not pessimistic, cynical, or jaded either. I struggled with the same thing for a long time, and I can't say that I'm not still struggling with that same mindset today. But I've gotten less over time, and I think that's just because I've learned to not care about the end result. Letting go of the fear that things won't matter in the end, letting go of what other people do or care, and focusing entirely on yourself. I'm not saying to be a total narcissist, or to let yourself be happy with hedonistic and superficial things, but rather allowing yourself a little bit of it as you focus on the present and nothing else. Worry about yourself first and not the rest of the world.
I don't like or dislike other people, I can sort of see how they might operate in a structured way like you do, but I try not to let that cloud my judgement of them as individuals because I never really know until I talk to them. I might be going on at a tangent, but ultimately my point is to sort of let go of that pessimistic mindset in favor of simple indifference.
I've operated on a single, integral value that I instilled in myself since I was a kid: if I can somehow be happy with absolutely nothing, then I can find a way to be happy regardless of what happens to me in life. Mayhaps it's a bit fatalistic, and mayhaps it's still a bit cynical, but going with the ebbs and flows of life and slowly building these steps as I go has at least given me a path towards finding some motivation to keep myself going. I know I'm rambling on and on in this wall of text, but if you do end up reading it entirely I hope it can help somewhat.
