Fights with management. There is definitely a cultural gap between holoEN members and upper management. They do sometimes get annoyed when they mention Cover and while holoEN hasn't seen an official suspension there have been plenty of long radio silent breaks.

In her defense, she did try playing other games at the beginning but management immediately shut down her kusoge mondays over fears of devs getting offended and then she found out the nightmare that is getting perms for anything that isn't FotM in holoEN (something that Gura has also complained about on stream), so she just fell back to confort food games, her autistic completionist mentality and stuff like Pokemon perms being time-limited didn't help either, as she ended up spamming endurance streams before perms ran out.

Because apparently actually being in HoloEN is so miserable and filled with red tape the only reason you’d stay is if it’s your only source of income. Obviously, it’s a high income, but someone with another very lucrative job would be motivated to fuck off.
Sana always prioritized her artist job over her vtubing career, and she probably thought this wouldn’t be a problem since Cover was ok with that. My rrat is that Sana thought “Cover’s fine if I’m not the one inclining because that means I’m free to experiment with la creatividad ideas they might not want Gura to do,” while Cover thought she’d be able to balance both jobs like Ina (because foreigners are all the same, right?)
Either way, the longer this has dragged on, the less I’ve blamed any of the talents for being stagnant pieces of shit. I mean, they still are, but I can see why they stopped giving a shit with management like this.

why are they so bad at getting perms btw?
i don't know much about how this stuff works but would companies and devs be that unwilling to give a big company perms (a company that can bring in a lot of potential players), considering they don't do anything about huge fleshstreamers already playing without perms?
or is it management being autistic and the requests being stuck in bureaucratic hell?
