In general though it's not a Nijisanji is bad kinda thing. But more a thing that just happens when a fanbase becomes bigger, and the toxic part reaches a critical mass. The difference being that at the time, there were way more angles of attack for these toxic fans, whereas these days companies are way more experienced.

If Hololive became popular before Niji, the situation would be reversed, it's natural group dynamics.

Well no shit, after Mio's channel was on the brink of termination, Cover went over all their channels to private/delete shit and properly ensure they secured perms so it wouldn't ever happen again. Heck even fucking Rio actually got struck for a sponsored stream because one of the creators/owners thought he was going past the limit even though the rest of the company gave him greenlit. They were thankfully able to remove that strike by showing they had the perms to stream that far in. You should educate yourself on how bad it was and the measures they took to prevent it from happening again.
