She preferred being a creator rather than the one in the spotlight. This is obvious when you see that she made a few mascot characters to talk to in her videos, and her other channel which is almost all skits with various characters. Vtubing just wasn't something she enjoyed very much.

Yeah some of her best videos were the ones talking to weird characters she made. I wish her an Ai would just randomly collab with the new wave of vtubers. Just to get their names out there but also give boosts to some. More people in Japan know Ai and Luna than even Niji and Holo.

The thing with Ai collabing with newer VTubers is that they would autistically melt in her presence, both out of respect and fear. Even when she collabs with VTubers from the OG era, there's always the slight sense that they're walking on eggshells out of respect for her since she's the progenitor of their existence.
