Short (200-400 word) sort of posts about ones thoughts on typical VTuber subject matter (games, shows, art); longer (500-1500) posts that speak more at length about broad topics rather than specific mediums. Or would you actually find a VTuber that does extensive text/image lets plays (the sort of thing that used to be popular on SA) to be interesting?

I've actually made all of the vtubers self-posts since the start of /wvt/, acting as middle man and relying them some posts and arts. Even the few known viewer self-posts are actually me. To make it short it was part of a plan to use the holo-brained audience that got sent to /trash/ from /jp/ alongside Africat debut, and slowly push them to a more diverse type of vtubing while giving my friends some audience boost. I even posted that fucking Leon and Alice ad on /jp/ back then.
All of those posts on /wvt/ have always been genuine regular viewers, and me posing as vtubers and also as some made up "famous" viewers. You fuckers were so bent over hating males at first and ignoring both my links and my mau and leon selfposts, that I had to temporarily introduce a few girls and self post as them before slowly shifting to males.
It's gotten a bit boring recently so maybe I'll tell all the details soon.
But rest assured, no vtuber ever posted here themselves.

it'd basically be a type of blogger, right? i'm not too familiar with let's play blogs but that'd be a good model for length. typically i read zimmerit articles on my free time so those might also be good examples for "broad topic" posts, but i'm not sure how easy it would be to bang out that sort of length on a regular basis.
i guess both formats seem decently interesting to me but they probably wouldn't be to typical viewers, and i really don't see how you'd implement the specific vtuber style of kayfabe and interactivity into a blog.

I have a lot of respect for people that stream to a small handful of people. And I don't mean the way most people on /vt/ would see somebody here with 80 viewers and call them small, I mean like unironic 2-view level. It feels like everyone's so wrapped up in the numbers game that they forget even making six or seven people's days better with some entertainment is worth a lot. Not every song is played at madison square garden, not every piece of art gets hung in the lourve. But they still make the world a better place in their own way, don't they?

I think most /here/ chuubas and viewers have a warped perception of what parasocial means because they get their definition from the screaming masses watching someone in hololive or nijisanji and think that same mindset applies at much smaller scales when it simply doesn't. If you're in a chuuba's discord and you can have a 1-on-1 with them (even if it's just about some meme someone else posted) then it's just being social. Maybe not close friends, but at least on the same level as some co-worker or fellow student you'll shoot the shit with during your lunch break.
Of course some small chuubas are very isolationist but that's an entirely different conversation. I see this topic come up a lot with regards to people that are clearly more than just parasocial with their viewers or their chuubas.
