Like anything else people get busy with life/work or are working on something else. It's also worth noting for each thing I actually post, there are probably 2-3 sketches and like 5-6 roughs/thumbnails that never see the light of day. It always goes in cycles. Also lately the requests have been a lot of really explicit fetish stuff which is hard to work on while you are sitting around waiting for food for example.

Honestly neither do I, but I always try to focus on doing reps for improvement. Also feel bad if I post a WIP and then drop it for some reason. I find quick sketches and doodles fun but I also feel like they don't actually improve my skills as much. It's when I refine them or try to turn them into lineart a ton of mistakes/flaws become obvious. Even just waiting a day will often turn a sketch I liked into an abomination.

I can agree with all you say there, I remember when I tried to learn to draw. The transfer from sketch to lineart really is something. And that's fair, finishing the art piece seems to be where the skills are put to the test compared to doodles. Also nice to talk to an artist, I sometimes forget how much work and effort goes into art and to improve/maintain ones skills.

Yea she was crossing her legs. I had trouble with the pose i didn't know how to make it look natural or how to position the legs really. Yours looks way better. And the arm looks way more relaxed that way. I looked at my arm while I was drawing and drew it like how it was positioned in the desk lol, maybe I should have thought more about how to make it look more natural and cuter.
Moomer looking dead inside was on purpose tho. No light reflecting on the eye, sketchy pupils, no blush, etc.

Hips are hard, because the pelvis has a really weird shape, and muscles are sort of complex and attach in ways that aren't obvious right away. Composition is critical but when you really get down to the nitty gritty the hip isn't a ball, and the thigh isn't a cylinder. Basic poses are almost a trap: you get sort of good at drawing a specific set of curves but from different angles and poses it doesn't make sense. Even worse, women vary a lot in body fat and anatomy so its not even consistent from person to person! I recommend lots of drawing from reference alternating from redrawing artists you like. For anime style you need to both learn real anatomy, while also learning the methods people use to simply things. I'm still learning but that's what worked for me

i started learning the basic from books like anatiomy for sculptors, i used this method to learn stylization since thats more important when it comes to hands imo, because otherwise they look like man hands, fingers look to blocky(rigth side my usual style) etc... so i copied the way some people stylize certain things, ie the way the index finger is done in perspective by just hatching a bit the middle point to show some volume, and the thumb folding, then i proceed to do it from different angles to make sure i got it. i do the same for any other part of the body tho.
