Asacoco was a revolutionary idea for the "Box" concept, but the main channel seems to have taken up that role with it's variety programs (with the comedy being focussed on the member interactions at the cost of being less extreme/family friendly).

There was a time when most holomem were imitating her, by trying to learn english, or doing her American style dance poses on stage, but that has completely died off.
She pioneered the meta of group collabs during her time, but Holos are now creating collab groups on their own without any prompting. Groups like Shiraken, SMOK, SubaChocoLunaTan etc. are able to create comedy without any of Coco's more extreme/lewd jokes.
When she graduated, a bunch of others tried to take up the mantle and do meme reviews and morning programs, with only a few finding minimal success. Meme review as a concept has been completely dropped, when it could have be EASILY taken up by any of the EN holos who know Japanese (Bae, Irys, Kiara etc.) - resulting in the subreddit being overrun by people who aren't really holofans but fans of the fandom.

Take literally any hololive fan from 2021 and ask them about Coco, and they would talk about her as a "legend" who would never be forgotten for her contributions... but the more time that passes, the less those contributions seem visible within Hololive's culture...

Cover pretty clearly had her shoved in a corner to limit the zhangs spreading to the rest of the company, even if with hindsight we’re able to see just how little they could actually do to the Holos, and only got let out to do her goodbye tour of collabs. Other Holomems were doing morning news prior Coco like Chocosen, Coco had her own take on it and got success with it, variety programs were still a thing even prior to her she didn't revolutionalize them.
Group collabs and grouping had always been a thing even before her, it was Sankisei where more unity started happening not because of the 4th gen.

The main thing that made Coco work was the juxtaposition of her against the rest of the holos. She was American, not afraid to shit on management and cross lines of traditional Japanese culture. This made her popular but also made her dynamic with the rest of the holos amplified. I would say the greatest influence she had was enabling fans of one member to gateway into being fans of the whole company, growing the box audience that we see show up to big events now. AsaCoco Live did that for the japanese audience, while Meme Review also pulled in the western audience. That tradition of turning out for anyone with collabs and events carried over into modern Live concert viewership, big group collabs, and main channel programming. This also boosted the audience for existing company-wide events like SportsFes, tournaments, etc, though Coco had little to do with that content herself.
I don't know if any of her particular content styles were unique to her other than debut month AsaCoco, which was something of a full-gen effort. More that she carried the torch for news shows, skit, and collab content for a time, and others have picked it up in their own styles after.
Of course her direct influence fades after her direct presence fades, that just makes sense.

Coco helped to "tear down" that barrier, by making her AsaCoco a "taboo breaking" show by doing two things
1) it was a "vtuber news" stream, by a vtuber. and one that spare no words to mock her fellow virtual beings
2) it dealt with very "real world" issues, like for instance Watame shitty internet connection
3) it featured guest participations by her fellow vtubers, like Luna cursing like a sailor in her english teaching streams
All in all it was disruptive because that was something nobody was doing back then and she lead the way and did push some boundaries very slightly.

In 2023? She herself is thriving doing facecams, nettnig three times more live audience than in her vtuber streams,.
Most of the field couldn't care less anymore about keeping a clear boundary between what a vtuber happens to be in the virtual world and what "the persin inside" is.
Handcams are a staple, some vtubers show up in conventions in their very own meatspace selves, they live in real cities, have real hands, some even real thighs!

Most of the ENs have edgier senses of humor because most of them grew up on the weird side of tumblr and in some cases mid 2000s 4chan. Reddit wouldn't appeal to them. Though I've seen Fauna's chat call out stuff that she mentions when it came from reddit.

It's kinda hard to be as into anime as they were and NOT have been influenced by mid 2000s 4chan. Pomu is a good example of this even though she's niji.
