Think about it for a moment, the average clip watcher doesn't spent money on superchats and merch, they only want to watch the creme de la creme, the best parts of a series of long streams.

They just watch the best part of a stream, spend less than 10 minutes of their life and then go on with their lives.

While in the other case we have the fans that spend hours watching streams and wasting their lives and money on someone they will never meet outside their streamer/fan dynamic.

The worst thing about a clip watcher for a fan point of view is that they get the wrong idea of the streamer or get misinformation, but WHO THE FUCKING CARES?, just like the streamer doesn't give a fuck about you or even know you exist, why you should care if the idea of the streamer in your mind doesn't align with the real personality of the streamer?

In the end the Clip watcher is smartest than the fan that watch all the streams and VODs, why should someone wasting his life watching a vtuber should be more respectable than a clip watcher???

It depends on what kind of clips are you watching.
There are clippers that are dedicated to their oshi, don't clickbait, and make long-ish clips that are translated well and give you the full context of the situation.
Then there are 1 minute long clickbaity clips that are mostly out of context and are just drama fuel.
I have time to keep up with my oshi, and then I watch clips of some other girls, like Suisei, Ui mama, Rurudo, and Nene. I know that the clipper is translating well and not baiting so it's fine.
