The gist: (You) swore yourself to the underworld and gave up your humanity a long time ago, but got stuck with the incredibly boring/irritating job of being a glorified geriatric caregiver for the souls of the dead. One day Rushia summons you to the living world for the first time in centuries, and you think this is finally your big break...only to find out that she brought you there to tend to her undead minions. This leads to you reluctantly taking care of a bunch of skeletons, ghosts and zombies while taking every opportunity you can find to rag on your new boss, and Rushia having to deal with an unruly servant who she can't just threaten to stab.
From there it could honestly go anywhere from romance to drama to just straight comedy, but there's no real ending in mind.

Always felt miffed about the lack of decent Rushia fics outside of the old shticks. Partly what drove me to start writing a piece on her, trying to make something of a character study without leaning too hard into the yandere bits and especially without meta stuff.

I feel like the pacing got a lot better this time around. You painted some pretty nice sceneries, figuratively speaking, and it felt nowhere near as rushed as before. I really liked the bakery scene in particular.
For criticism, I’d say your dialogues can feel a bit stiff and… cheesy? (You) being a goodie-two-shoes doesn’t really help either, as banter is virtually non-existent except between Ko’one and her grannie. THAT seemed a lot more organic than the interactions between (you) and Kuro, for some reason.
Maybe take a look at a few works with good-flowing dialogue? Our Cures would come to mind, but I’m sure the other Anons have their own preferences they could offer.
Kuro’s change in character (for the better) was also quite glaring, though that could’ve been due to your adjustments concerning the criticism of last chapter. If you stay consistent from here on out, it should be fine.

As promised, here's a review of the chapter.

Long story short - I loved it! It's a definite improvement when compared to the two previous ones. You've taken the criticism given to heart and worked to improve on it. I'm glad to see that! Your chapter has benefited from it, too.
It's especially refreshing to see other members of Kuro's crew get some "screen time", too. The part with Korone in the bakery was honestly incredible in my opinion, as it did a great job in showcasing a bit of how Korone is with her family, as well as the way she was brought up. I love moments like these.
Kuro was written especially sweet in this chapter. A bit rough around the edges, but that's a huge part of her charm and I love it! I honestly can't wait to see more fluff with her further on in the story!
The whole arcade trip was incredibly fun to read through. I loved the way Kuro behaved and spoke while in it so much. The twist with the plush at the end of it was a nice touch, too. I was honestly hoping to see something like this the moment the tickets and the prizes were mentioned.

Overall, a very solid, sweet and fluffy chapter! I thoroughly enjoyed it and am eager to see more! I can hardly point out anything I disliked about it or any sort of criticism I can give you. Perhaps someone more experienced may be able to, but I honestly can't.
The one thing I can say is regarding the ending of the chapter. And it's something along the lines of: please don't hand Anon over to Botan. I crave my fluffy delinquent Kuro romance so much, it's actually unreal!

All that said, you did absolutely incredible job and I enjoyed reading through the chapter!

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to improve on the scenery and pacing, that was one of my main goals with this chapter. I can agree with your points about the dialogue. It might take me a bit more to ramp up to a point where I can make the banter flow more freely and have more substance to it. The Anon and Flare in HJ are a pair I'm proud of in that regard, but I've building that interaction out for 10+ chapters. I also agree that the character shift was a little radical, but I think it was the right choice to really let Kuro let you see more of what she can be. I think through this chapter I got a much better idea of who I want her to ultimately be and what makes her tick.

The Korone part was actually an accident if you can believe it. Like I started writing the location for that scene and it hit me like a truck that I could place her in there and it could work.

Oh yeah I killed Renalla in 4 hits lol (I killed her at lvl 64) but the rest has been ok in terms of difficult after I climbed the plateau. Raddan I killed in 5 or so attempts I think but it was mostly cause his hitbox is shit. I use a grafted greatsword +8 I believe is it's name? It's a sword from a monkey boss in an island. I really don't like missing out on quests so whenever there's something I find that I don't know how to progress I search it up so I don't miss out on anything. 40 vigor 30 endurance and 50 strength I think are my stats.

I actually don't really like not knowing what to do next. Like Blaidd being trapped in an evergaol instead of being at the underground star city after Raddan, there was no hints towards that. Iji never has any new dialogue when you talk to him, even after joining Ranni, so no one would ever think to ask him and learn that Blaidd was trapped. Finally read through HF Pure Black, and I'm extremely saddened to know that Towa is dead. Also, I didn't think it was all that dark and scary compared to the main series. Anon's been assaulted, almost murdered, nearly raped, and mentally fucked by an ancient god in the main series. By comparison, Pure Black seemed like just another chapter.

He avoided the Noel/Flare rapeapalooza but now that puts him at a much earlier point in time than he would've been had he actually been captured and needed to escape, even taking Noel out in the process rather than just blinding her and having her be a recurring character. That's actually kind of a massive deal for a lot of reasons. I hope that when I eventually get around to part two of that - which I've had mentally drafted/outlined for ages, I've just been struggling with a lot of stuff with my home and work life - I can steer things back on course.
