Never understood the appeal or why people obsess so much over vtubers. Please explain it to me.

The appeal to a lot of lets plays streams is essential Improve-Machinima. For the most part the people will be playing the game, but there will be impromptu moments where they break into comedic back and forth with each other using the game characters as puppets. one of the reasons minecraft plays can become entertaining.

Having a Vtuber rig adds to the puppetry aspect by putting a face on the performers while still disassociating themselves from the role personally which lowers inhibitions.

For a specific example, Minato Aqua is an expert at using these tools for Slapstic comedy not only in her panicked energetic reactions but in her ability to expertly play games badly (failing in ways that are funny, but succeeding often enough that she can clear ghosts and goblins without the audience getting frustrated.

Ha! It's clever because you never intended to engage in a good-faith dialogue. Instead, you already had your mind made up to judge the concept negatively. I mean, I'm really not mad that you don't like them. I'm mad, if anything, that like I said, you're upset that things that you don't like are liked by other people. Like, I couldn't give two shits if you enjoy them or not, but it's really the projection that's irritating.
