Mori made no effort to make it work, but the format also just doesn't work nearly as well for someone who understands English. The content is Coco explaining Western memes to someone who doesn't understand them. The punchline is their reaction when Coco finishes the joke.

Coco didn't really change her behavior at all to suit a Western guest, probably because she was still explaining things to her JP audience. They probably actually liked it, but without Mori finding some way to pick up the slack, this was never going to be good for an English audience.
