just finished legend of dragoon couple days ago actually. never had a PS1 growing up so i'm binging pretty much everything on emulator. it's a pretty interesting JRPG with a terrible localization but lots of weird interpretations on dragons and monsters.

You're got a hell of a library ahead of you. I'd recommend Legend of Legaia. I have no idea how well it aged but it was pretty neat back then, turn based JRPG, but martial arts focused and the combat system is all about making combos.
