I still don’t understand this perms things, how come Western streamers have free rein on what they can play yet Japanese ones (or those that work for JPN companies) have to get perms? I get that it would be impossible to play a preGen 6 game because it would be easier to just emulate those in order to play so therefore Nintendo would obviously not approve.

content creators can still get hit by companies in the west. its just bad pr so it rarely happens. it happened to pewdiepie with that firewatch game I believe. i think I remember fatlususa shutting down persona streams if people went past a certain date. both events caused huge backlash for the companies. this isn't the case for japan however because they're cringe.

It's pretty obvious she's a trend chaser. That look is very much "youtube storytime animator", in that it's meant to look like a rough/rushed animation that focuses less on style and more on just providing visuals for the story element. Akin to a doodle on a piece of paper, a majority of the story time youtubers look like this.

Her vtuber model reflects probably her understanding of what vtubers are. They have to have a specific look that her youtube design doesn't reflect. She even spent a solid 30 minutes explaining every little design detail of the model.

Also it could be she didn't want the baggage of the shitton of porn there is of her youtube design, what with her "i'm asexual" video.
