as for the province stuff. the province map as is has one issue that was not taken into consideration when it was made as in that places closer too the equator are way bigger than things oon the north and south of it. the 5 provinces you chose are incredibly large in contrast to even 7-8 in other places but people are a bit too stupid to properly word that. plus the reason the island was left as one big province i think was for people that wanted primarly have that island as a nation and not as a fifth province added to the land.

the thing sadly is not very perfect and people should better voice WHY there are perceived issues, not jsut say its a potential issue.

sorry that i myself didn't have time to respond more properly before but i am involved in divegrass stuff and we had a game today so i had to stay vigilant over there.

Offensive is good, I've been planning to invade /hlgg/ but it's beginning to change into more of a pre-invasion warm up, either way I don't want to drag any allies into it so we'll be good with offensive.
Trade stuff sounds good too, we'll throw in any new chuubanite information we discover and invite any researchers you have to the artic base we've got going on with the Deadbeats. In terms of technical stuff I think a treaty or just a basic lore entry would work, I'll get on those most likely this weekend but it really isn't a rush.

After looking over the results and checking it together with how much we can feasibly do for new players we have decided to cut the 5 players with the least amount of votes. It sadly wasn't as clear-cut as we had hoped but with the new models that need to be made and the updates we'd like to provide for existing ones, this was the fairest we could come to as a conclusion.
This gives us 5 new players to add to the roster, but before we vote on which of the new suggestions will be added, I wanted to run an idea by you guys. Since we have a /risu/ rep in ABANDON SCIENCE already confirmed, and several other /risu/ suggestions that would all be splitting the /risu/ votes among themselves, how would everyone feel about taking the /risu/ ideas off the main poll and moving them to a separate vote over what to call the /risu/ player? That way the most popular option has a better chance of being on the team. Let me know your thoughts on this, and keep a lookout for the next poll coming in a day or so!

I borrow quite a bit from the Kalevala and Finnish mythology (in particular the role of music and songs in magic) for /vnug/ so I think I should include more references to it! It’s implied that knowing and singing about the origin of something (iron in this case) gives one control over it (the flintlock mechanism in this case) but I don’t know if that would actually work so I made it ambiguous enough to justify it in other ways. It’s funny that you mentioned lyrics since my music of choice when writing that part actually doesn’t have lyrics

Generally, we advise anons to focus on one of their home threads which I have come to regret to an extent. But really you can write for any threads, just know that if a new anon joins and wish to represent a thread they have the right to alter your lore. Ok, newsuner here. Lay out my thoughts about Risu Chuubanite
>Chaos (Active and Passive)
Active verison of this is used for the rockets and magical stuff.
Passive leaks into our society, which is chaotic and one of the reasons why we are disunited and tribal. Aggressiveness and Horniness is also a passive effect here. In effect, we are both warlike and peaceful, naturally chaotic.
This reflects Risu's nature.
>Apathy
Passive. It reflects our thread's apathy towards many things but also reflects Risu's own apathy at the moment. It is another reason why we are disunited is because we don't care. I can see us unironically using drugs like marijuana. There is also a doomer part of this which Risu herself has played into this year that has caused this to emerge. Our threads die fast and cannot stay alive, which can be attributed to that but I don't know how to show that in world.

I am not certain whether these two elements change that but it shouldn't. The key traits of risuners and our thread are apathy, chaos and the same level of horniness as most generals.

in regards to the nation that used to be there, i would propose /ccu/ to have been there.

/ccu/ is a thread that died around the same time as the yab happened and it features chuubas that now are part of /lig/. with /lig/ being the neighbor of this and retro reich being allied with /lig/, there could have been a conflict between /lig/ and /ccu/ about their gods and us two fighting them is why they were already in a bad shape by the time you arrived. Your people then fighting with zeal for a new home was for them what broke the camels back and made part of /ccu/ come to terms with /lig/ and flee annd immigrate into /lig/ while other parts were fought off or driven out to other palces by you and creating what is the current land of /rumina/. part of current /lig/ might also have been former /ccu/ land, who knows.

/rumina/ having helped solve this conflict would also be why /lig/ and /vrt/ would feel positive towards you and welcome you as neighbors among us.

i think this would explain how you managed to beat a foe on their hometurf despite having needed to cross an ocean and with /ccu/ and /lig/ having ties to each other in this way also means that its not just some nation sacrificed as a scapegoat to make your lore work. it would also answer some logitistical issues liek how yoou mananged to get some supplies in the early days sicne /vrt/ and /lig/ would have helped there. and /vrt/ is also one of the bigger naval nations so maybe we even helped you with relocating some people, might have even asked our allies in /2434/ for some help there, but that last part about helping with relocating is not something you need to invovle at all, i don't want to be too pushy here, jsut some idea.

it also would create some interesting history for the continent as a whole. Maybe mr. bearfucker wants to involve /yah/ also a bit in this since it might make for some interesting dynamics for him and /yah/ too.

yes, but there are certain requirements that make it difficult for just anything to be a transubstantiation of anything else. in this setting, the "heavenly realm" might be better described as a conceptual realm in that it takes on the form of every concept you could imagine, the "everything concept", and in this concept there are multiple branching, breaking, and reorganizing connections between each concept that strengthens, weakens and alters everything that interacts with them. our primary means of communicating with this realm is through vitubium, a magical material that binds to certain materials, and synchronizes with a magical energy called vitium (aka magical quanta) to become chuubanite, which gains different default abilities and chemical reactions and what not depending on which concept they represent, primarily the concepts that define each nation, defined by thread culture, as well as the chuuba(s) they worship. there are three primary means of making use of magic through chuubanite abilities. passive effects, effects brought about through the use of activator substances, and effects brought about through the use of glyphs. it is possible, through the clever use of these existing mechanics, to create artificial concepts which you can use to alter the way the conceptual realm is structured, including being able to tie two separate concepts together, but only if you can communicate those ideas as being the same through chuubanite.
the way the conceptual realm works is sort of like a computer, with concepts representing objects, i suppose, in terms of computer programming. communication with it requires treating it like it doesn't understand your culture or intentions. creating glyphs that define certain patterns, or groups of people, based on certain physical or conceptual traits that they all share, is useful for interacting with them, though no magical effects can take place without the use of either the conceptual realm, or chuubanite. divination is the word we've apparently taken for when the conceptual realm interacts with people through thoughts rather than chuubanite, and i suppose it's conceivable, though utterly impossible from a pragmatic perspective, to destroy words from the conceptual realm and cause their existence to be impossible to communicate, (was that the premise of some ancient story or something? can't quite remember) but basically, it's where concepts like the nature of a chuuba exist.
so, when figuring out a way to represent something when you are trying to create an artificial concept will depend on what you are trying to represent, but the goal is to steer on the side of using as many possible methods to isolate an idea, while avoiding any ideas that aren't directly related, ie, avoid misconceptions by giving thorough and precise definitions, and not polluting the definition with irrelevant jargon, like communicating to a computer. i think that should get you up to date on at least some of the important stuff regarding how all of this stuff works, but idk. we'll add to it if need be.

It might be sentimentality because I was there when a rep asked the Rushia proper thread what her nation should be like, but I don't think the situation warrants a move. I think there might be more interesting ways to reflect the gulf between that thread and the Hololive fandom.
In my head, Rushia built that place. The majority of the posters there are still Fandead who remember that. I don't think they would leave it on principle of that alone.

The adjusted dates were put there because some existing lore and lore plans needed the graduation to happen in 1110s. Also, because the speed of plot started before Rushia Graduation.

That'd probably be a bad idea but pyon itself was subject to lots of raids back when I was checking it out, that being said it's better at weathering them now and in universe Kiki literally ripped the island from the coast with /here/ divine power.
It'd make a good story for a pirate vessel to attempt a raid on /pyon/ and succeed before then having half the fleet demolished on a third or second run.

What others have already said is very true, but as a Catholic, though it is blasphemy, you understand our theological understanding of difficult subjects rather well and explained them rather well.
