Opputunity cost is one thing, but at this point the lack of an EN3 is unironically hurting the new boys they want to debut. By debuting new girls they'd have a new popular gen and their less popular stars wouldn't be looked at as negatively. Tempus was able to largely avoid this because while it had been a long time since Council, they were still less than a year old at that point.

But now because of their inability to read the room they have no popular girls gen and the stars and looked at more poorly than they would otherwise. There's some real incompetence going on right now

This has baffled me so much desu that I’m trying to think why they would do this. Obviously there’s plenty of possible explanations (I wouldn’t put anything past EN management given their past retardation). But at this point, I’m thinking this was just pre-planned, they were gonna do an iluna-xsoleil type thing, and then they got stuck because what are you gonna do, cancel the contracts you already signed with the Tempus2 members and go to court?

It is, a major reason why they grew so big is because they proved that girls could be entertaining streamers without any boys in the picture. While some of them would collab with niji males back in the day it's not like it was happening every other week. If they wanted events or collabs internally most of the time the girls would have to step up themselves and organize it.
