While I'm sure a new gen could be great, at the end of the day the thing I like the most about the Stars is how close and tight-knit they are.
It's not that I don't believe new members couldn't be integrated into their group, it's just that it seems hard to preserve the same dynamic they have now if more people are added into the mix.

Personally i'm happy with the current roster, sure, a new gen would be nice and all, but the current members are putting in so much effort to grow by themselves and new members may bring in some difficulties to their plans and efforts, as well as potentially impact negatively the current dynamics and relations that the boys have, both between them and between others (especially if certain fears people have with potential new members come true) and frankly I would prefer Cover actually put in some serious effort in promoting and developing the current stars than adding more members.

Honestly I think holostars can pretty much do away with the whole “generation” dynamic by now given how their current group dynamics work, transcending generations and treating each others as equals without any senpai-kohai dynamic that other holo branches hasn’t been able to replicate (so far) which is the best thing about the boys IMO since they can pretty much go ham during collabs between themselves without having to worry about the divide.

As far as member counts go I think what we have currently is in a pretty sweet spot rn, it gives a good amount of exposure to each and every member without pushing anyone too much into the sidelines like with a larger group. I still want to see a couple more new members though, particularly those who can fill the niches Kaoru and Kira left behind, but I think any new members shouldn’t be added if the current roster aren’t ready for it given the possible shift in group dynamics (and potentially reintroducing the senpai-kohai dynamic once again).

For "english friendly" Holostars, Aruran and Temma make very concentrated efforts to understand their EN audience.
If you're willing to follow along more with the energy than the actual language, Roberu, Shien, Astel, and even Oga and Miyabi are accessable, just expect much less EN, with the exception of Roberu and Astel.
Rikka and Izuru for their singing, but Rikka with Calli from HoloEN mix English and Japanese for the collabs they've done so far.

The Holostars EN is tougher though, since the EN viewer base of the boys are really high compared to their JP, much different from Hololive JP which still has their JP audience eclipse their EN audience. Astel even said that around 50% of his viewers are foreigners. If a Holostars EN happens it will 100% cannibalize the current boys. Holostars doesn't get the hype or advertising that Hololive does to get noticed on the level of HoloEN. Along with that they won't draw the coomer audience that can't stand males that Hololive has a shit ton of.

The situations aren't comparable in the slightlest anon, the boys have nowhere near the local popularity and numbers that the JP girls had when HoloEN debuted, a HolostarsEn would do more harm tan good for the boys as a great part of their fanbases are from overseas, which sounds good, until you realize they aren't indies that can have any kind of audience and go with it, but corporate vtubers that will likely hold events and make merchandise that won't be very easy for KaigaiNikis to participate on and acquire. the very real possibility that many overseas fans will drop them in favor of the members that they can actually understand, hurting their growth and numbers, the high chances of auditioners being creeps that only want to get close to the girls and don't give a shit about the JP branch, etc.
The situations are too different to compare, the girls were in a position where they could expand to the overseas market without much issue and/or danger, but the boys aren't in a situation like that, so the chances of a StarsEn are very low, especially give how little Cover cares for the existing members.

Definitely an issue for management when doing recruitments. I imagine they already have to filter that for people who try to get close to their JP oshi. At the very least Holostars has very little brand power compared to Hololive so that would ward off people looking into it solely for the clout side of things. Holostars and Hololive are basically completely separate aside from the parent company. If someone did get into hoping to talk with their oshi they probably would get ghosted. The talents don't even do something as small as following each other.
