A bit melancholic, honestly. I don't want to reminiscence too much since I would rather focus on the future, but I can at least say that despite having some downs, I'm happier this year than the last. Next year will probably be just as chaotic and unpredictable for me as this one, and you know what? I'm happy with that. ...alright, let me explain myself without the self-deprecating humor. I don't really "believe" in resolutions. What I mean is that if you have something you want to do, keep it to yourself and try to do it, as opposed to making some vague feel-good public statement. If it's good enough to do it's good enough for you alone to do and to start doing _now_ instead of "in the next year." Resolutions feel like an advanced form of procrastination on the goals we want to achieve to me.

That said, my new years tradition is to do what I actually want to do that year while the clock is changing over. That way I have a memory that I can reference over the year and it's more positive, and it helps me justify my solitude.. I have a math problem that I have set aside for this when the clock changes this year.
