I disagree, donating to Gura herself would still be better than donating to a charity. Besides charities are known to be scummy, do your research on this topic. Cover and Youtube probably take a huge chunk of everything she earns, and she's not the biggest earner in hololive despite her subs. What I think the best options are:

1. Getting Dande's voice actor or some other (affordable) celebrity that she liked to leave her a birthday message.
2. Leaving a metric fuckton of big superchats for her all at once (I doubt there will be anything to surpass that one Mori stream but you guys can try, I mean you DO love Gura, right?) Even KFP who are vastly outnumbered by chumbuds manage to coordinate and shower their girl with lots of money.
3. Pay a bunch of cowboys to do a ukulele/banjo/guitar versions of her classic BGM and send the videos to her. This only works if you can get a whole bunch of em instead of just one. Other Holos had celebrity messages already, one nobody cowboy would be underwhelming.
4. Pay a bunch of tiny cosplayers to dress like Gura and have them march, make it like a Gura Holiday or something.
5. Start a go-fund me or whatever it's called nowadays for her. With a funny goal that she'll laugh at. Of course, there's very little chance the management would contact the fans to get that money, but it's the actual result of the fundraiser that matters and what Gura will talk about. If management can't accept the money it just gets donated to Gura somehow either by rapidfire superchatting/merch purchases/commission the most lavish fanart or have someone build a fucking small statue of her. Honestly if you can't get Dande's voice this would be my 2nd best choice.

I'll do some snooping for charities and see if I can track down one that actually does some good. If no one beats me to the punch I'll compose an e-mail and ask them if they can accommodate a special donation drive. It might be tough because ocean conservationists don't always get along with Japanese corporations and there could be some resistance from both ends. Plus they'd probably want to talk to their lawyers about it so those lawyers can go talk to Cover's lawyers.

1. Gura doesn't even like her "ocean" theme that much. She doesn't bring out her trident or bloop or even do shark facts anymore. She fangirled for her cat ears more than any ocean related thing. So yeah, maybe the ocean donation will elicit an "Oh that's cool" from her, there are much better choices for a birthday gift. 2. Cover and Youtube cuts Gura's earnings by a lot. Don't you guys want Gura to get some of that bday money instead of ALL OF IT going to to random old guys at an ocean organization? I also think it's unfair that Gura has never had as many superchat floodings as other Holos, maybe because she's the most subbed, people tend to think she's rich already. If you look at all the available data we have, Gura's earnings actually are pretty low compared to other vtubers and other Holos. Why not just have a shrimp army bring out the mother of all supacha rainbows? Plus you can even leave a personalized message with each one, this is objectively better than the ocean charity idea. It's literally each chumbud giving her a present like a real birthday party.

3. I'm not saying you guys should put up Gura on a giant screen, but at least do something unique and eye-catching for her, the girl deserves it. If you can't get Dante's VA, do some digging and find out what other pseudo-celebrities she likes and get a bday message from them. Maybe someone can rent out a place and have a Gura themed party and record it? Get a bunch of chumbuds and yell "HAPPY BIRTHDAY GURA" together, it could just be a very short video like that.

Setups can be incredibly fucky. This is going to be a bit of a blogpost but I stream myself and had huge issues with the ps3 back in the day.
I have no TV because wh othe fuck watches TV in this day and age, everything goes to my pc screen. PS3 goes to capture device, passthrough (realtime) goes to monitor. Fine. However because of HDMI actually supporting the shitty drm and Sony using it I can't use the proper input to the capture device and have to use component cable. That means sound isnt going into the hdmi and I have to route it seperately from the capture device. The capture device outputs sound after encoding so I have an incredibly fluctuating audio delay of 2-3 seconds

Basically shit can be incredibly fucked depending on the setup. I streamed a couple ps3 games with 2-3 sec audio delay for me, because the choice was the delay for me or my viewers

Same reason some people might be able to 1cc difficult shmups, but cannot play an FPS for the life of them.Skills transfer across the same genre if you practice it a lot, making it easier to pick up on other offerings of the genre, and sometimes cross-genre. Definitely not. This game is extremely lenient with timing.
My own conjecture, I think the problem most people have with Guns specifically is that the large strings of notes consisting of difficult fluctuating patterns over such long periods of time in a row makes it an extremely strenuous song to complete.
