Because most people that watch Salome don't watch nijisanji.

She brought in a hell of a lot of new viewers, which Niji took no advantage of, outside of making her an assembly line of shill streams.
There's only so much you can watch 1 streamer kinda do the same thing by themselves, so many casual viewers left in time.
When that happened, all the En translations channels slowly went back to normal business too.

I still remember laughing at /#/ melting down over her numbers and arguing red in the face over how there was such little overlap with other vtubers with her audience. They couldn't believe that she had been the first real success for vtubing in ~2 years in drawing in a sizeable and untapped audience. Her slow degradation since then if anything should be a warning sign for Vtubing as a whole to be honest. First real chance to noticeably expand the potential audience in over 2 years and it was blown. No telling when....and much more realistically IF...vtubing will get such an opportunity again.

Delusional, numbers were called out and nijikeks were laughed at for thinking it was legit. It's not even an untapped audience or any sort of success, it was botting in preparation for going public. We had already seen it tested.
