Do you feel like your dialogue is becoming too thick with information? Or is it more of a problem where you are trying to include a big important piece of information in that exact conversation.

Sometimes a big infodump from a singular person alright, like in the situation where they are giving a lecture or retelling a legend/story. You can easily break it up by having the source of the info ask whoever is listening if they understand, or what they think the next bit of information is, given they would have a clue based on past experiences. You can also break up the flow by letting one of the characters have an inner monologue of sorts to portray their reaction to the information.

Demonstrating information via action is also a cool tool for breaking up those types of segments, like referencing a written book or some other object.

I've found that even when I get distracted by re-reading stuff, I end up finding little nuances and details I may not have before. Also, as I begin to write more, I'm able to identify different methods and tools other writers used to make a really good scene, and then I can better put that type of technique into practice.
