Gura is all innate talent and 0 effort, Koyori is mostly the opposite - I used to not like her voice much at first and she didn't really have any specific skills in much of anything honestly. However over time she's honed her craft from her sheer devotion to it and found content that's good for her and us alike (super mario world for example) and developed a slight retro tint to her to the point she managed to get a Korone sleepover offcollab. Her effort has paid off and now I think she's great.

Gura on the other hand, would in theory still be great, I don't dislike her at all, but whatever is going on with her she streams like 2 times a month now.

This is what happens when everywhere besides here keeps spamming that the girls don't have to work hard and need to "take care of their health and don't burn out" from streaming once a week (before they themselves go back to work for 9 hours the next day near-daily throughout the week, clearly they see no contradictions there). One might argue that effort is literally wasted on the Western audience when a bunch of them are clipfags totally ignorant of the fact that less content = less clips and they give no shits if it was a recent event or something pulled out of an archive from like 4 months ago (ayame clippers would sometimes dredge up shit from like 2 YEARS ago and yet still a bunch of people would watch and like it).

However, I think if Kiara was putting in 0 effort it wouldn't be helping her either, in other words if the stamina/effort/true Holo soul wasn't there Kiara might be like, 3 view status by now instead. It's just so far we haven't really seen the Miko (or Aqua or Peko or Korone or Koyori) trajectory work out for EN yet.

Kiara is literally the only EN I have time for these days because she's the same as Koyori: insecure and driven. They could both do fine without the effort, but to be given such a platform and STILL work like crazy for 1+ year deserves respect. I've watched them both enough for their loud squeaky voices to be sexy instead of filtering. The only negative about Kiara is her fanbase but unlike Koyori, she makes up for it by being upfront and brutually honest about shit. It's hot.
