nta as well but for a good part of 6-7 years Twitch would just not load properly 80% of the time for me. Apparently it was an issue that didn't affect enough people for them to care, but most of the screen was filled with "this module failed to load" and an image with a grey pacman-like ghost. It did this for the chat, channel description, stream video, and the left side bar. Sometimes one or two things would work and the other things would not, and I did not know how many times I'd have to refresh for the stream itself to actually start working. Seems that has been fixed though as I just went to check to get a screenshot and I could not get it to happen, so that's nice.
Of course, I could have used streamlink instead, and I did, but then they started getting more aggressive with inserting ads. Now they splice them into the HLS playlist and it's a coin toss on if you will see them or not. I am not going to bother with that shit. I gave up on bothering with anything that only happens on the garbage purple site a few years ago now. Even Mogra, which sucks cause that was nice occasionally.
