The genga weren't, you had to win a raffle type thing to buy them from trigger; they were 1 of 1 and used in a show I really enjoyed so its cool to me regardless. Original cells can be expensive, especially gainax (Evangelion mostly) because they weren't ever technically sold to the public. I was lucky on sites like yahoo auctions and had a good proxy buyer service. The posters were really fun to track down.. did a bunch of digging and ended up getting a tip from this old dude that sold his stuff at conventions in the midwest which lead me to contacting a really old no longer in business Japanese distributor that had all of the posters in mint condition (one for each volume of vhs/ld of Eva's first run)
