Hololive has higher quality talents on average. Niji absolutely has great singers and streamers, look at Toko or Mito. However, Nijisanji has far too many average streamers, it makes it difficult to search through all of the mediocre ones to get to the gems.

I actually knew about Nijisanji first, well, I guess saying I knew about Nijisanji as a group wouldn't be quite accurate. It's just that I'm a lolicon and was naturally drawn to chuubas like Chihiro and Ririmu. This was way back in like late 2018/early 2019. I was still a pretty big Kizuna Ai-fag at the time but the live streaming lolis intrigued me so I kept watching them on and off for a bit without really knowing what Nijisanji was. I just thought the lolis were cute.

Then Miko's N-word clip went viral so I started watching her and it was around this time where I actually started learning more about vtubers and the agencies they are a part of. After doing this research and finding out that Nijisanji had males in the group I dropped Chihiro and Ririmu like a bad habit, swore off Nijisanji forever, and haven't looked back. Have been exclusively a Hololive fan ever since.

So yeah, for me it's the males. I just can't support a group that allows males to taint my favorite idols so freely.

For me it's the opposite situation. First got into hololive, enjoyed them a lot, but after a few months they started feeling alien and cold to me. The feeling was like they were a girly girl's club and I wasn't invited. And even when I didn't get that feeling, I couldn't stand the GFE pandering because I could never treat a stream like a date. It was around that time when I first saw Nijisanji clips and realized that I just wanted a male presence to feel welcome, to feel like this wasn't only a thing for girls. Nijisanji made me feel okay to watch vtuber streams even during collab streams where no male is present, because the idea that there could always be a male there makes it that much more comforting to me as it's not a safe space for females and it's okay for guys like me to watch without being pandered to like a pretend boyfriend.
