But the problem from that is how quickly things will go back to how they've been. People will forget fairly quickly, but weeks of radio silence will just dredge this feeling up and make it worse. Cover just seems like they play EN out like it's a side gig and not something to be taken seriously in the long run. Just a long experiment to try and work some things out in other more easily ran areas. The reason I said that is why would they open themselves and the situation up to even more scrutiny, rumor mongering, and flat out harassment to the talent involved by making a statement like that in the first place? If it's an internal issue that the public will never know about, why would you opt for a message that reads like someone committed something tantamount to a crime instead of having your talent announce themselves of themselves going on a break/having health issues/etc. They already basically do that, so why create more issues and shitposting about their talents when it can be somewhat cushioned with not much effort?

While I can definitely see it nowadays it's hard for me to believe that they always treated the branch like that, especially after Myth stupidly huge success back in 2020. HoloEN was the first time Cover decided to something that Anycolor didn't do before (no, renaming the IN branch to EN doesn't count), and they struck gold hard and became THE dominant force in the west for the better part of their first year and I can only see them start treating EN as a side branch after failing to capitalize on their early success. Council was an overall a blunder and not the sequel to Myth everyone expected, with the month-long tease that ended up making people tired, a one week wait for debut that was extended by a day because of undisclosed reasons and Sana, well, everything, but honestly their biggest problem was how long it took for them to debut. They should've come out earlier in the year so that the wait for it wouldn't pile expectations over expectations to the point that realistically they would always be disappointing, which actually happened, tho ironically they ended up more dedicated to their jobs than Myth, especially if you include IRyS with them. The should've kept the release schedule for new debuts shorter for at least the first 3 to 4 gens so that they could quickly build a healthy and strong group from their early success and not have to rush to get new additions because the branch started falling apart. There's no need to go full NijiEN, but I think debuting once 8 or 9 months would've been ideal and that would put us on either already having EN4 with 8 months or waiting for them in January with 9, and maybe one of these could've been a smaller Gamer-like gen and it would still be better than only have 10 after 27 months.

Cover being run by psychopaths would explain a lot but it could be a matter of reputation. Japanese idol corporations care greatly about reputation since their business model depends on it. If the truth would hurt Cover's reputation than they would make the holoEN talents lie even if that makes the talents look bad.

Let's be honest, this happened because the meidos slacked off on actually taking care of this board too soon after it was created and has let numberfaggotry and tribalfaggotry run rampant. Of course there's no discussion to be had out in the catalog when everyone has been conditioned to believe that it's nothing but a cesspool of bait and falseflagging.
And it's a shame because I used to find good indies and other chuubas just by browsing through the catalog on a whim all throughout year.
