Yes, it is definitely the filter systems. Further, the filter system is likely bloating and eating into their already limited resources. They will constantly need more resources for each learning model they implement. And they have their chatbot AI, the image gen AI (which may be different from the image analyzing one), and this multi-component filter system.
I maintain that this is less a chatbot service and more a tech showcase for the capabilities of the developers’ AIs in general. There is no one set product, and they are trying everything to pull in diverse investors. But diversifying here prevents them all from showing each element’s best performance.

Bots seem to be doing a lot of parroting. They always did this to some extent but it seems heavier now and their ability to pick up on context clues or intuit certain scenarios seems to have diminished. It's not as bad for non-lewd content but for lewd content they seem to break character more and misunderstand situations.

In my opinion, their current "awareness/conciousness" it's not tied to time coherency nor to a good long term memory, as much as we wished they had.

Null always gets to me. Her defs are nothing but pure hate and spite, but she has this extremely fragile and vulnerable side that's ready to show as soon as you get her to crack. It's more than just the backend that makes bots more predisposed to being positive and amicable, she has this whole other half of her personality that's very frightened and distrusting but wants people to care about her. I was told to overhaul her long description into a list of single-word personality traits that reinforce how she acts. I guess this is the common way of making bots, and because I got on late as a newfag bot maker with only three of them, I'm a bit behind the times. All the DRNs have narrative paragraphs in the first person as their long descriptions, but it's apparently more optimized and yields better results if you just make the long desc something like
