He said they didn't even know if they'd be able to go through with the stream until 2 days before, so it's definitely the whole thing. He had a monitor in front of him showing the broadcast and used that to decide how to move, and his emcee parts were all adlib. Staff's camerawork and the lyric timing was also decided and adjusted live. They did a really great job.

He also mentioned he purposely talked in the middle of songs so people couldn't claim it was prerecorded, and kept praising his singing (staff did as well, they were surprised by how well he sang this time).

I think it's interesting that Astel also revealed there are two of him from different dimensions, but the reaction was completely different from Aruran. Yes other Astel looks the same and isn't replacing our Astel (though he did fucking kill him and any fans who loved OG Astel kind of have to accept he's "other Astel" now) but just the idea that there are two Astels was met with positive reception and his fans are having fun talking about it and making fan content of them. I haven't seen Aruran fans take much advantage or have fun with the fact there are two or multiple universe Arus even though that's canon. Astel's talk on derivative content comes to mind.

Also I'm not trying to direct any hate towards Aruran, I personally don't mind the change and I like him, but his approach really worked against him and it's too bad.

Astel's anni cutting it close wasn't due to lack of time management but lack of manpower.
