It was suspicious and stuck out to me. What generates engagement are the small group interactions. I've said it many times in holo threads for a reason, HoloEN clearly took a big hit (which doesn't seem as big because of their massive success) from being landlocked and not interacting as much between themselves. NijiEN can't rely on the main branch like them though and will have to build the environment from zero, just like Hololive back in 2019. There is no Hololive generation greater than sankisei and there likely won't be one no matter how much initial brand name boost newer ones get. Hundreds of thousands of subs on debut can't beat continuous inflow from clips, memes and fanart.
What NijiEN needs is EOP clipper environment. Hololive had one growing without interruptions for almost two years now. Last time Nijisanji could compete in this regard was back in early 2020 but then a couple of big Nijisanji clip channels died, Lulu, who was by far the biggest Nijisanji EOP magnet at the time, started having health issues and lost momentum just as vtubers exploded in the West, and Korone spawned several huge EOP memes that penetrated far into the normalfag zone. By September big sub channels stopped bothering with Nijisanji because Western audience didn't want anything except Hololive anymore and HoloEN wiped out what was left. Just getting dedicated NijiEN fan channels would already be an improvement for them.

I know someone, same age range, F, who had breast cancer. The surgery was not an issue at all, but the fucking chemotherapy was devastating. I've never seen her so destroyed. She kept wanting to stop but stuck with it till the end. She's doing fine now but still bears the physical and mental scars
