Nah, Sana was one of the better members at paying attention to chat during her streams. It's clear that she never got a chance to get attached to the job and having her rhythm disrupted so often probably heightened the bad sides to it. Like yeah, no shit going from nothing to feeling like you have to stream 12 hours is going to burn you out. Not only that, all she had were her initial projects that were received like a shit sandwich on a plate of frozen piss, she never got a chance to let another of her works take off and give her a sense of accomplishment.
Really the only project left of hers is a tower, which was outsourced to cheap Indonesian labor and is pretty basic as far as structures go that Vesper did a similar thing after a week, and IRyS new mascots, which honestly besides the black and white motif don't really reflect anything about IRyS and felt more like Sana just doing whatever she wanted and she happens to like cats. The fairies are a lot better as a mascot, this is just an unfortunate case of having to commit to her will.

I’ve seen quite a few vtubers at smaller corpos and indies who just don’t abscond and who let their fans know in advance when they’ll be taking a break and why. And their chat is also not super demanding or weird about things, unless it’s some kind of banter that’s an in-joke with the community.
I guess it’s a chicken-and-egg kind of problem. When you’re smaller and build up an audience that only wants to see your content and isn’t there for the brand hype, it’s probably easier to enjoy interacting with chat. And chat probably also understands the vtuber better as well.

the real reason nijisanji talents get away with long breaks while holos piss off their fans is because nijis actually communicate. when mysta went on a month long break he said "hey my mental health is pretty poor rn so I'm gonna take a break to recharge" and his fans were happy he was taking care of himself. when gura goes on a month long break she just logs off and tells no one. then they wait until a reddit shitstorm starts brewing to finally force her manager to login to her twitter account and give a fake damage control tweet. those two approaches show a massive difference in professionalism and respect for the fans, and it's why despite all of nijisanji's other unprofessional behavior their fans are never sperging out over "lazy chuubas." literally all it takes is just a little bit of communication and honesty.
