VoS is absolute dogshit and actually impossible without infinite ammo. Not only regular enemies bite like a meat grinder and have more health than a tank, it's made even more difficult by adding late game enemies way earlier and dropping regular enemies on boss encounters. It's a real challenge, even with infinite ammo and full gourmet E-san.

VARYING ANGLES HOORAY! I think hands have a power to convey intimacy very well. Too bad I suck at them but I will get better.

I enjoyed the stream a lot. The deadpan reactions to horror is a nice change from everyone else's screaming reactions, and there's a market for that kind of reaction as well. Botan, Fubuki and Sora are also very calm with horror for the most part and require special conditions to actually make them get frightened.

My only complaint is the necessity to crack a joke on dialogue heavy moments of the game or just talking over it at all. Most let's players don't even do that. It's most likely a thing she's not aware of. Is she uninterested in the story? Hell no. this is just how she gets into them most likely

For some reason, that process required searching for "vessel" in which Eva can be reincarnated. So first, she created a parasite-like creature called Cadou. Implanting it in humans can give different results. Usually, people just turn into Lycans, those are not zombies or werewolves, they're basically just very aggressive cavemen. Then there's Elite 4. Alcinia is descendant of nouble bloodline but that line has a generic disease, she has to consume normal blood to stay alive. Cadou gave her extremely high regenerative abilities, bullets don't affect her at all, heals immediately. And that's how she uses her huge claws - those are just nails she regrows in a second. That's also why she's so tall - she's just growing and growing. Her 3 daughters are not actually her daughters, they're just her own Cadou experiments - each is just a swarm of flies that took the shape of a human. They all just feel like calling her mother and she feel like they're her daughters. Donna, the puppet girl, is some minor noble too, she knows a lot about flowers and discovered that if a person inhales pollen of a certain flower that's been infected with Mold AIDS/Cadou, she can fuck with his perception of reality - strong hallucinations. She has Cadou planted in all her dolls, it's like a telepathic network. Also, she's beautiful, what a babe. Moreu, the freak, is like a failed experiment. Cadou didn't fuse with him properly and he became a retard, he can't control it either. He's not a man with a parasite, it's an overgrown parasite with a man attached to it. Worst bossfight. Heisenberg is like Miranda's favorite, he kept his human appearance, he's very intelligent and Cadou gave him nifty useful powers. I don't remember where he came from, but his magneto powers are explained as enhanced biological electromagnetism, like some japanese stingray, don't remember the name. But in the end she still thinks he's a failure and unfit to be the vessel for Eva. Also, Miranda knew Spencer and worked with him for a time. She inspired him to do what he did. Umbrella logo originated here too. So, after her search for Eva vessel led her nowhere she got a bit desperate and agreed to give a sample of Mold AIDS to this new shady organization introduced in 7. That's how Evelyn was made, she thins that was a failure too. ENTER Ethan Winters. At the start of RE7 he actually fucking dies, Jack kills him. But, because he was infected with Mold AIDS after it, he looks and acts fine. Remember what I said? MOLD. He actually doing even better, because tearing away and reattaching his hand is nothing to him, being stabbed, sliced, bitten etc. is nothing. Just spill some glue on it and it'll be fine. So, 3 years later, he has a baby with Mia, anoter person possibly infected/possibly cured. This is like a super-baby, the Mold AIDS incarnate. We don't know what she can do, but apparently Miranda is like a joke compared to her. So, Miranda finds out about this, kidnaps Mia, shapeshifts to look like her, and takes her place. especially when the game lets you do it like 10 minutes after starting
also horror isn't that scary when most of the areas you are are well lit and the monsters are almost always clearly in view
in general, RE8 isn't a particularly scary game, especially at the start

Showing monster in horror of any kind is generally the point where horror stops being scary. Good horror is usually built on suspense and fear of the unknown . When you see the monster, it's either time to fight or run. Both options aren't exactly scary since they give you certain amount of control over the situation.

I'd say that you can have effective horror when monster is visible when both fighting and running are fairly doomed options
basically Alien: Isolation until you get the flamethrower (game peters out a lil bit after you get it... until the nest at least)
