There are interesting women out there who could intellectually challenge you and/or get way-too-into obscure niches and such. It's just most of those aren't gonna become vtubers. Vtubing selects for: young and inexperienced hence basically by definition don't have much wisdom or developed interests yet, weeb girls, desperate poorfag normalfag girls, and ethots.

You've probably not talked with girls with PhDs who as it turned out were actually hardcore WoW raiders back in the day and almost failed out of the program to raid Naxx and such. I ... have. The thing is, she didn't look like a cute anime girl. Our shallow interest in cute designs/voices selects for similarly shallow girls to play them, typically. A girl who can fend for herself in the world just fine really, really doesn't have the need to do vtubing unless she had a specific interest in the format itself (Ina is sort-of like this but 90% of it is because she's a weeb girl who just follow trends including bad shit ones like gacha games).

I don't think you're being entirely fair to the chuubas we have. I'm fairly certain most of them could autistically talk for hours about some niche garbage that interests them, but that's not how you entertain an audience, 99% of which won't share their interest in the topic. Funny you mentioned WoW. I introduced my ex to FFXIV and she became so good at the game she plays it three times more than me and also sells runs of Ultimates. By citing OP she had:
