I'm surprised how popular Gura is, even amongst anons here. I always see posts like these lauding her for having 'insane charisma' which baffles me. Her charisma is pretty standard for a vtuber to me, at least compared to the ones I watch. Is she just baby's first chuuba or something?

Funny enough, even when I “watched” HoloEN, I was an unapologetic clipfaggot who could count the number of streams I’d actually caught live on one hand. Two, if you also include the number of VODs I actually spent a substantive amount of time watching (as in, more than five minutes or so).
It wasn’t until I made the jump that I started catching streams live and realized I could actually enjoy watching a vtuber live. In some ways, I think I was also one of those anons who thought only Hololive was good, except even then I was never that invested into it and found it easy to leave.

She’s reclining some but when you look at the EN picture as a whole she still consistently outperforms the others. Mori hovers around 3-4k ccv these days and Ame gets 5-6k, maybe close to 10k on a buff stream. When Gura streams she fairly consistently breaks 10k views pretty much no matter what she’s doing. Is it the numbers she used to get? No, but quite frankly it’s never going back more due to COVID restrictions ending. Her dropping off the face of the earth didn’t really impact her numbers all that much before and I doubt it will now
