It works for the effect she was going for with this song. It sounds innocent and unpolished and all the shit she wants to go for given her audience. But yeah, if she wants to expand beyond this with music, she should work on her singing voice.
That said, I don’t really know if she *wants* to do that, based on the clips I’ve seen of her talking about her content.
