260 million speakers isn't really that appealing. Indonesia has a bit more than that, but they're also exploding in population, so they'll have many more moving forward. And there are 330 million people in the US alone. Add on top of that all the people who speak English (whether it's native or as a second language) and that's a huge market. Russia's population is sizable, but not as big, plus they would be difficult to work with. Ukraine is their Taiwan, one day a JP member will mention Ukraine on stream and then it's HoloCN all over again.

Russian Holo would technically isolate everyone else.

i really think, by language, if Hololive really wanted to do another region, they should pick on of these three:

1: Germany. german is spoken in about 4 different high-money states, with spare time on their hands. a very small branch of 3 passionate girls to start would be good.

HoloRu wouldn't be economically viable, since Russhits are about to get as poor as Indogs. HoloSlav wouldn't be possible due to linguistic differences between the languages. Creating a Slav branch with Polish, Serbian, Czech and Ukrainian for example would be quite similar to a Germ branch with Swedish, Danish, Dutch and English speakers in it.
