Let's be more honest here. Dead subs are a problem for all hololivers, not just Gura. You would not know Fubuki has that many subscribers from her view counts (in fact the problem is even worse there). But if you look at VOD view counts, it's clear that Gura videos still hit 1 million views regularly. The numbers don't lie, and it's pretty clear what happened: people have lives and watching things live doesn't matter much, but they still follow Gura.

I would argue that Ollie and Reine is just as deserving of the success and popularity that EN enjoys (when they speak English) but the fact that they're both indogs, speak indog and marketed as such, means that they're eternally cucked from the limelight. This also applied to JP holos, to a lesser extent. Marketing and branding (EN specifically) contributes more to a chuuba's success than talent or personality.
