I think that might work although I don’t know if plants can concentrate sugar to that degree naturally. Having antifreeze molecules in the mix is probably a better way to go but at the same time I feel those molecules would also result in the syrup having a different taste like birch syrup. I like that myself but I don’t know if it’s something people would want

Cactus in my experience doesn't have a "sap" like syrup. Its more like a juice stored in the pads. When you cook the pads the chlorophyl fibers break down into a starch. Combined with the juices you have a subtly sweet and green tasting treat.

That said the question is the anti-freeze toxic? If it is then the cactus itself is inedible. However, with some spec bio we can evolve /vnug/'s cactus to have edible berries. Berries are produced in the summer when water is most abundant. While they don't have a syrup. They have lots of juice and chewable seeds. When combined with birch syrup and simmered you can create a very tasty and healthy cactus berry preserve that lasts a few years when canned. The preserves have carbs, B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin K, and some omega-3 fats from seeds.

The anti-freeze, even if toxic to injest, can be extracted from the roots and mixed into an oil used to weatherproof cloth and leather. Oil would keep the leather dry while the anti-freeze would prevent water from freezing on top.

Just some ideas before bed.

/vnug/ already has berries though… I think if I have to adapt /vnug/ to a colder climate I’ll go for a different approach that allows foreign plants to also grow in /vnug/ to a certain degree. Maybe something in the soil or some kinda symbiotic microbes that can secrete antifreeze into plants?

We might also opt to tweak the planet so that climates can stay mostly the same... I'll try putting together a proposal so that this can be settled, it bothers me that we have to deal with this uncertainty.
>>37665417
Nice work anon. I think the way the interpretations I'm seeing look, there is less so an anti-chuubanite, and it's more like schizos corrupt proper chuubanite for their own uses.
I also feel like the Rrat fields would propagate like another Vitium field, either a separate one, or maybe it's the same as the standard vitium field through which chuubanite radiates magic quanta, except Rrat fields have a specific signature.
Ah, this would also be a good place to mention the potential vulnerability of catalognauts to schizo. Something about their very being's connection to the Heavenly Realm allows Rrat fields to resonate in them much more strongly.

Essentially, Commodus is giving up on violent unification, and agrees to work with the confederation.

So, if I understood this right, the entirety of /risu/ will be a confederation with South being one of the "member states", and as most of the tribes and member states would have a high degree of autonomy, the South would be allowed to remain as a feudal realm under Commodus, while still being part of the larger confederation.

I think

hmmm... I did wrote that members of the confederation are allowed to rule as they see fit so if any of them want to be monarchists or republics sure!
as long as the core policies uphold by the rishama (education, training, guild economy) is maintained.
oh oh oh! maybe this can extend to the north too! since the risuners bordering towa and mori would want to mimic their culture, there could be other feudal members at the north

>> No.37685129

>more cities in the north and center
never thought about that. (‸)
economically the reformers want to achieve something like a decentralized economy. communal/provincial/low level self sufficiency. free to do businesses independent of a capital. every neighborhood craft their own goods, every town, on the surface or mega treehouses in the canopies, grow their own food. the pillars of this self-sufficient economy being land, labor, culture.

If any confederation member wants to achieve this through urbanization it's allowed. as long as it doesnt break risu culture.
with nature/agrarian life being the core of risuner culture with our silviculture traditions and how we built homes in forests and fields.
metropolises could happen. but the trees are replanted, no land flattening, no excessive dams. same goes for the molesuners carving new underground tunnels or the ayundites building up their forts.

but all in all it depends on the local government. since there are already urban regions like Sabatangan and Commodus would follow the Oisseau method
the loophole to this is if the local government chose to focus on some risu culture that isnt tied to nature. even if it's a city but since the population prioritized craftwsork and foodmaking or sex services it will not break the central code (◍•ᴗ•◍)
general answer, yes. if they can do it without destroying traditional culture ceiling

>this is a compromise for everyone so that we can both make our stuff work without stepping on each other so the South likely per this deal will not have the same societal reforms as the rest
no no it's not a problem. im surprised you would go this path. i thought risu would be like your map, still divided into factions with commodus, warlords, rishama, magi. i wrote the reformation idea just for the kronie protectorate region. i never expected it to go this big...

I think you might want to include something about the ways the Lunaito population was motivated to start, lofty goals like reclaiming crowns and ancestral claims is good to make nobles move, but it helps to have a motivated populace too. Maybe a few years of bad crops? It's easier to go to war when you're a bit hungry.

Greetings,
i have taken notice of your thread for a while and it came to my attention that you have a severe lack of /hag/ lore so i came to bring you some proposal for it, hope this is okay: https://rentry.org/tnsyr

Our agents in /hag/ noticed it, we've been expecting you! This lore is pretty great, I like the way you worked the thread's concept into combat. It's fitting, given Botan's importance in your pantheon. Welcome. Don't forget to archive your lore under the archive post once you're satisfied with it.

Easy as can be, you just need to reply to the lore anchor >>37664577 and explain where you want to get the lore archived. For example, you'd want that lore rentry stored in the /hag/ lore.
Also, that wasn't me, might have been another of our local hagchads.

Normally, I try to avoid sticking my neck in the weeds as it is worthless and I do not have time to type out a post but at this point, something needs to be said because this is going too far for my own tastes.

I am aghast and utterly appalled by this constant namecalling, dramafagging, and sheer retardation that seems to have taken precedent over actual lore and discussions. The matter that >we tolerate this, and some of us actually encourage it is baffling to me. Do some of you really care about this project at all, or just your friend groups? What is disturbing about this to me is that actual known writers and entities have zero issue just amusing this sort of behavior and engage in it themselves. It's shameful to say the least.

Truthfully, I do not care for all of these past grievances that get brought up in these discussions and the finger pointing that occurs. It all just strikes me as malicious in the end, no matter how much some of you would like to claim it is a good thing, because in the end, you really do not care for the truth. And furthermore, the fact that most of us cannot just say "stop with this drama bullshit, we don't care, move on.", which I am guilty of too, is what is driving writers from this thread in my opinion. I truthfully could post more often and would write more but it is hard to get behind something when you see how little lore seems to actually matter to this thread, and how much more the days drama and your own friend group matters. I don't think I am alone in thinking this either whatsoever, there likely is many like me out there.

So, I raise this question to others here. Are you really ok with this toxic environment that this thread has become or are you just too afraid to say anything because of the risk of antagonizing anyone or whatever other reason? Is this really a project you want to commit too, where it seems that dividing us into groups instead of just having some fun working together is the norm? I do not wish to be part of such a project truthfully, and I never joined this project for this. I joined to have fun discussing lore with others, writing lore and being part of a project/greater community. If things do not change, frankly, I will leave this project. Such behavior is what always kills projects online, and will kill this one assurdly no matter how well or important you think your own personal crusade is.

Instead of the normal answer you would expect of vietnam, here is the real answer.

The type of Training that they would go through would be mostly regarding marksmanship with both bows and firearms. The concept of the entire "Squirrel Vietnam" goes against what is best for Risuners imo, and thus our training would focus your guys would not be about that. Also, you would recieve training on the use of Javelins and over fitness for battle. Contrary to popular belief, Light Armor is not better than what you guys would be wearing for combat in this area because plate armor isn't that heavy.

I know i will only be considered a schizo because i am an anon that likes the discussion in here sometimes and not one of the esteemed writers.
But i can throw this at you too, you only seem to come in because you want to interact with Alice or PP and not actually for the project itself and this is how many of the writers that are considered the clique feel like, a lot of them only seem to come in for some interaction with their friends and the rest of the thread does not matter to them at all. Most of them sit in the discord and even consider the thread to be shit all together while they themselves only care to shitpost when they don't agree with things in here and throw oil in the fire for the keks. Meanwhile because of one shithead every anon is considered a schizo by default if they do not agree with things and all get lumped together as samefagging.
If you guys want this to go back to one big group working together then don't just call foul play and point fingers at others but also take a look at yourself and consider why for example this idea of a clique exists and what behavior might have led to this.

I'd love to! I think it would most look like a slightly bigger 1800's Nautilus in terms of technology, with human-powered screw, a cigar shape, and a ballast tank at the keel. It wouldn't have a sail though, as the Barakuda class is designed solely for stealth operation. Since it's a military vessel, it would also include steel plating to make it less vulnerable to a leak from a stray bullet. The additional size and weight makes it more or less impossible to operate effectively if you don't have some sort of enhanced strength, which limits its deployment. There are probably lighter and less armored vessels usable by civvies, though.
The hatches restrict the size of the artillery that can be mounted severely, I reckon they'd be about 1.5 meters wide at the most, allowing a compact ballista or a small swivel gun to be mounted. Heavier cannons such as those found on larger ships would likely destroy the vessel entirely if they were fired.
If you'd like a more immersive account of their functioning, they're also featured in the story I'm writing, that's why I wrote this. >>37704082

Steel is a surprisingly good insulator of heat because it has no porrus structure. You can wear chainmail instead. However you have to wear a thick lenin tunic so the chains don't rip your skin off. Once you get past a lower latitude then full plate armor becomes impractical.

Alternatively you can have AC in armor via chuubanite. But that leans into power armor which is a can of worms.

>Dont just call foul play (implying i am part of anything)
You see, this is the issue. I am not part of any clique that you are speaking off and am calling for others to abandon this. Whether or not I like someone doesnt matter as if they are truly causing issues, then they are part of the problem too. “They” is such a broad term that you need to clarify what you even mean by “they” as they could be anyone that has positive interactions with someone like me.

But finally, I ask you what your finger pointing is doing at all for the thread beyond just saying one group of people bad? Maybe we all have messed up? Seriously, this isnt about one person or one group bad. Its we need to stop dramafagging and write lore.

I hate to name him out of all people since the schizo does it always but then where were your interactions with Retro? From what i understood he was supposed to be part of the war with you from pretty much the start yet in all of these months not once did you involve him in your stuff at all or even as much as mention the interactions between your nations despite him sharing a continent and this lore with you.
>"They"
Most niji reps and ID reps, for a twist i would exclude alice herself as she actually seems to try to reach out of that zone. They only seem to have input in regards to this specific group and a lot of their writing seems specifically tailored to be able to write with PP and that alone, not with the bigger world itself. They are not even present most of the time, only when they come to input for that group. I have seen plenty of cries how their lore gets ignored and no one reads their rentries, but i also do not see anything from them indicating that they pay attention to other people's lore.

Hmm, I'm not sober enough to really find anything wrong with these nanora and I'm too tired of loops to care much, I assume any heaven weaponry like a cannon can't really be employed without risking the integrity of the ship so how powerful could these guns get?
Also some things that I'm curious about are how the air pressure would really be controlled in terms of making this a submersible craft and how deep it can go since those are big factors, also what degree can they be used as a way to spy on other nations nora.

>> No.37767919

I cannot agree to the concept of an active submersible within this era anything of the likes of what is described for many reasons. Mainly down to the sheer fact this is just clearly a tech push by /morig/ and while it can be "cool", I do remember many times it being said that we value precendents around here and we all know that this kicks down the door for more things. While I am opposed to the airship concept, I see no reason why 2434 cannot have it if Morig when this has a cannon on it and those airships don't. Remember how Luknight said "Well they might not be able to carry bombs now but what happens it progresses 20 years."

The same applies to this submersible. The standard is the standard.

Good questions! To give you a point of reference, swivel guns are more an anti-personnel weapon, with a caliber of around 1 inch of diameter. They're basically right on the boundary between something you can fire while carrying it in your arms, and something you can't.
Good question on the ballast tanks too! First, it's the early days of sealing and riveting technology, so this vessel wouldn't have much capacity for depth at all, I think it would have to stay right under the surface of the water, no more than 2-3 meters. Water pressure increases by one atmosphere, every ten meters, so it quickly becomes structurally dangerous to dive deeper than that. The main blocker for spying applications would be range, I think. Since it is hand-powered and has limited space, its operational range is very limited, so it needs to be deployed from a larger vessel for every mission, some kind of frigate equipped with a crane. While the sub is reasonably stealthy, the mothership wouldn't be, so executing missions deep in busy waters might be difficult.

>> No.37768875

I will mention that submarines did exist in the late 18th century, and the first submarine used in combat was in the american independence war, used to set up a bomb in a british ship, so I don't disagree with there being a submarine, I do believe that the development of the submarine should be scaled back to something less advanced

I think 1800's is good but I also think that most of the tech limit is determined by the current date which is kinda moving about all the time. I'd be fine with getting to stuff like steams and trains soon but I also think the amount of loreless nations takes precedence over tech date. A "Nail in the Cereal" type deal might be better to attach since it matches much of what we've had as a precedence, advancement into a new field costs something negative after some time. A determined military man would probably keep at it but I could see major investors deciding that it's too much, especially if one of those subs was filled with chuubanite and now you need to deal with an infestation of chuubanite enhanced giant crabs with bullet proof calciphied shells.

Oh! Deadbro I also had a realization about something kind of funny. Of course there are tons of researchers and chuubanite experts working at the library of Gugulu and at the artic base but I think the most knowledgeable people to go to about how Candy Kingdom chuubanite works are the Hickerypuffs.
They make liqour out of a chuuabnite byproduct and have spent years perfecting the reaction between ingredients to be not only palatable with taste worldwide but also to be non fatal since the process can easily go wrong. They've gotta have the absolute know how when it comes to hands on reaction with CK Chuubanite and how it can be used and that knowledge could help aid in some serious break throughs up north. I might actually need to see about making them a recognized organization and not an illegal crime family.

Oh no, they're absolutely criminals nora. They're probably responsible for the vast majority of chuubanite thefts in the Candy Kingdom and dig tunnels under roadways in order to steal from travelers that refuse to do trade with them. Frankly, I really don't know what's going on with those fandeads and the origin of this milk, to be honest, so can't say, at least threadwise. I'm pretty sure it's just some nazuna schizo finally breaking after they've been mentioning Towa in their threads for the past 6 months and made a discord called a Twunker to run away from /vt/ at times, guess it's finally seeping into the thread.

As for the story, I think it's a little messy/schizophrenic, but at the same time, that's what that milk thing has felt for me in the thread so... Overall, a pretty fun story and I'm fine with it being canon, I'm just worried that it's writing other threads, specifically, /るみな/ to an extent and one of their schizos, and if I say too much I'll summon one of them since I know that there's some that do the same menhera archive searching I do.

Hmm, it's an improvement from what I said before since now I get a detailed idea of how the civilization is run, the culture, how things work. The southern belle aesthetic is alot more detailed and well put together with the certain nods towards social and political climate to imply what could be happening in the future nanora. I could gauge how the average moonafic noble would interact with other nations and how they might react to certain things. The abolishing of serfdom to slavery too is a nice flip on the head in my opinion and would be nice to hear about how that played out.
My biggest issue is that if I took all of that out and put it on a blank page, I'd have literally no clue I was supposed to be reading something related to Moona. There isn't alot of moona in this, not exactly in terms of the religious aspect of worship but in terms of how her, her content, her lore, and her thread are represented in Vitubia nora.

I think the best way to start integrating the chuuba into the culture would be to look at some of the primary characteristics of Moona as streamer and the general board attitude around her. There are the big things like collab partners and notable interactions like Peko Moona but the content that a chuuba puts out can make for good lore exploration too.
>Bar Luna leads to Luknight Bar Culture leads to Luknight Moonshiners that are caricatures of drunk Luna
>Monhun streams lead to the actual in world organization of Monster Hunting
>Luna gun gif leads to Pixie Dust Muskateers
I hear lots of talk about Moona being kind of autistic and I can see that in how her minecraft houses are littered with hidden compartments and trapdoors, lots of different mechanisms and stuff nanora. That could be integrated as a feature that high end nobles include, almost like a, "Oh you're close to me but not close enough to discuss business in my secret secret study"

not deadbeat, but if this about it mention rushia, we can easily just say it is in the past. I think most of these short stories can be canon based solely on that they don't need to be location specific. And if a writer for a mentioned thread would take issue, it can be just non-canon then.
>>37812221
I think you nailed the theme greatly, and as Lunaito mentioned, I really really like the details about class. I also agree about the thread specific stuff, though it is easier said than done for. One thing I would consider is the potential for dualistic people, like Pekomoon, Risumoon, pagimoon, etc. and how that plays out in society. I also remember mhm rep writing about how his people were mentally unstable but medicated because of their understanding of mental health, which is a joke with his thread. I am sure you can find something similar and I agree about the general lore docs not needing to get into specifics as sometimes, how a thread/nation differs is in the details you know? Like many of our threads on this board have many many similarities, so many that what makes them truly unique can be missed. After all it is 4ch, and interactions at the end are based on that. Like most threads on /vt/ are horny to some degree, not all but most, and they love their oshi, which isn't always true kek. But trying to sift out something unique can be hard so it's often how we use them in stories that I think illustrates things the best personally.

It would be too simple to just make us horny fucks that want moona's tits and while I love moona's tits, I don't want to have a nation that is just about it... I will start writing down some ideas like those candyman gave me, and what you just said too because the devil is the details right?

I would love to hear more about this romanticism within your nation, as I think there is a relation between it and virtual livers in a way. Does anyone have /moon/'s local map? I hear its got an unusual delta. I'm too sick to go through the archives.

For whatever reason, what I said earlier did not get posted. Sadge.

Well done. Very nice use of themes to illustrate your nation better, and I think the others covered everything I said hours ago... I like your tie to us, that is very nice worldbuilding.

You want a story with OG and myself huh, well we will see how it happens. I can work on one but idk about the Flaccid beast.

Ty meppa, sorry that happened... But yeah, let's do something fun. Maybe the squirrel will complicate it too much for my first collab. What do you think and do you have ideas?

I expect that lusquire overview before you hornypost tree monkey
>>37818973
I'm no sure if this is a myth or an actual thing but I remember hearing that in the past women would wear dresses with the butt jutting out to emphasize that they might have a fat ass without being uncouth since it was a desirable trait. You could have it so that having a big rack and butt to match are greatly desired culturally as a symbol of Moona's body but its improper to actually talk about, it would explain why there's prejudice against risuners as uncouth savages with no fashion or shame. Maybe Moonafic women hire Architect diet specialists to get then set on a body with the proper curves of a desirable yet elegant woman.

>>37819664
hmmm, I think that is wise despite us being a horny thread because... I think the humor of our nation being secretly lewd is really funny. I think I will play into those fashion senses, I would imagine Meppa would too. I like the class dynamics a lot! I need to think about your esquires for us I think as well but I am not that good with that sort of thing...

>> No.37820005

Oh I really need to mention about how our thread is obsessed with the idea of moona being /here/, mainly because of that one clip. It's hard to explain because we also mock the idiots who think that.

>Ideas
Now, I am not great at coming with story ideas. My whole idea of story with OGsuner was he gets attacked by watamelons in my lands. But I think a simple thing will need to be thought out. I will get to you next thread about my idea since I naturally made my nation complex with foreign policy like a dumbass. I am leaning towards two noblemen hunting unironically as just a fun short bant story!

>>37820166
Hunting? I really like this meppa! You just lied about not having good ideas, since this is great. But I don't know how this works with a collab since it would make more sense for one of us to write it?

>>37820326
I told no lies! As you just confirmed why I am not good at this lmao. Err, I'll forget my stupid diplomacy and just think of how to make it work as a collab story. It doesn't mean we need to both write it, I think. we could just write character or scene and then other one work with it.

Quit lyin' kek. I really want to work on my skills describing scenes and dialogue. I noticed how Alice did it so well, and that is how I want to write except less serious. But characters are hard! Maybe that is your end?

I can try my best! Also, I am not sure Risuners visiting you is a good idea considering you have Risuner slaves LMAO. Ah, well characters are easy. I can just list the traits of the Oiseaux and you can do the rest. Have faith!

Wydm? That's the fun part meppa! The squirrely boys declaring war on us with their canoes would be funny!

Alright, I await your character soon enough.

The delta should be an interesting climate. It'd be too dangerous to farm due to shifting rivers.

I could see lusquires being sent to /moon/ being trained more as diplomats than as warriors with a focus on etiquette and the arts to make them as charming, refined, and prestigious as possible. They'd probably be put into a mindset of recognizing the intricate details and meaning in things like art, mannerisms, tone, wordplay, and all types of political jargon and know how. They'd see the ballroom like a battlefield and slip and and out of social groups while gathering info that would help them accomplish their goals. Also probably rapier and fancy weapon training too.
I think Moona would be seen as the matured version of Luna where Luna is the crescent moon and Moona is the full moon. Being trained in Moona would probably be seen with a decent amount of respect back home as completing the metaphorical lunar cycle. informally I could see getting a moonafic into bed having a similar cultural meaning among uncouth foreignaito boys

Ah, sounds cool. Me and Meppa are similar like that then so it would be interesting to see how it is different.
