I got a gaming laptop in 2013. It's turned on 24/7 and hooked up to a 50 inches TV. Used for everything from watching Youtube, Netflix, pirated movies, emulators, etc. Had to change the HDD once because the previous one broke but other than that no issues whatsoever and running Windows 11, despite lack of TPM 2.0 and ancient Intel 4th gen quad-core Cpu and GT 750m Gpu. As long as you let computers get enough ventilation and keep them free of dust they last forever. It's always heat what kills PC's.
